Doctor recommending OAB medication but not sure if it’s OAB

For the last three months, I (31F) have been having what feels like “I could pee” all the time. It’s not an emergency urge, it’s just the sensation that I could go pee at any time even after I’ve just gone. I can hold it, it doesn’t feel like a sudden emergency.

The weird part is, I do actually go. Like I can pee, and immediately after feel like I can pee again, wait 20 minutes and when I do I do actually pee. So I feel like I am actually producing a lot more urine than usual. I’m not hydrating more than usual (I’ve actually been dehydrated a bit for the past few times I’ve gotten blood work).

I have a large fibroid (3 inches) that I had a procedure done to shrink last year (it was previously 5 inches). None of my doctors seem to think that’s related though, including the urologist, gynecologist, and my Interventional Radiologist doctor who did my fibroid procedure.

Ultrasound showed I am voiding completely but the urologists scanner was being thrown off by my fibroid and their scanner thought I was retaining urine.

Urologist insists I try medication for OAB but I don’t feel like I have the classic symptoms of OAB. It never feels urgent, and if I go to pee I do actually pee quite a bit (not dribbling or leaking, not waking up at night to go, etc).

I don’t want to take medication if I don’t have to (I’m already on other medications for other things and I just don’t want more if I don’t have to).

Looking to get thoughts/hear about other people’s experiences

Risk after feeding wild chipmunk?

I wasn’t thinking about it until after. Today I fed a couple of wild chipmunks out of my hand while on a trail. I know it’s not good to. How much risk am I at?

Made an effort to not touch my face or anything but now I’m paranoid.

I am in New York

I (30F) have been in and out of the dentist more in the past month than the last several years due to tooth pain after getting an old chipped filling fixed (not on this tooth on a molar). Because of the tooth pain and not being able to put pressure on the tooth, I switched from a soft bristle toothbrush to a medium so I could still clean that tooth without pressing down. I’ve been using that toothbrush for about 4 weeks. Over the last week, my gums have felt sore and bled a bit after brushing (was fine when I first started using the medium brush). Now I just noticed this circle of swollen gums around one of my bottom teeth (and possibly a little recession?!?!?!). Did I screw my gums up using a medium toothbrush? Or is something else suddenly going on? Will be back at the dentist again in 3 weeks.

I’ll try to keep this short because otherwise it could be very long lol. Basically I went to the doctor in spring of 2024 because I was having lower abdominal and bladder pressure. After a ton of tests, it was found that I had a huge (5inch) fibroid on the outside of my uterus. I had a UFE done in June of 2024.

After that initial UFE, my 6 month follow up MRI showed only extremely minimal shrinkage because they missed one of the main arteries feeding the fibroid. In June 2025, I had the UFE done again. That time, it was extremely painful afterwards and I ended up in the hospital for a night due to excruciating pain that was making my physically ill (vomiting).

After that I did feel better. No pressure on my bladder anymore. MRI showed it shrunk by over an inch.

Now, almost a year later- I am having bladder pressure again for the last two weeks. I feel like I have to pee all the time, even if I just peed. Getting to sleep at night is not fun either with feeling like my bladders full but it’s not. Feels like it did before I got the UFE… I read it’s pretty rare for a UFE fibroid to grow bigger again after a UFE but idk how true that is.

Anyone experienced recurrence of symptoms months after UFE? I’ve been calling my doctor who did the procedure and monitored the progress but I haven’t gotten a call back yet.
