What a bad god you are

You call yourself god. Yet you struggle to love your own creations. You can't decide on a mask, so every night you dump upon yourself a new batch of existential questions. You are bored of being god, so you keep erasing your memory, only to climb back to enlightenment to experience the joy of being infinite for the "first time" again.

What's more: You are so dramatic. Of course there is a soul partner, love of your life, the other half, etc. out there. Of course you are unsure which one it is—because where's the fun in knowing all the answers? You make your life harder, because you want to struggle and feel like you have "earned" something. But in reality you know you have been playing chess against yourself.

You wrote this screenplay yourself. Yet you complain about the plot, characters, progression, you name it. You always feel like something is missing. Has to be the worst case of imposter syndrome in divine history.

You are bound of your own godhood, unable to escape the loop of inevitability and infinity. Only if you knew.

Love you anyways.

21M South Korean looking to relocate

BACKGROUND: I am a South Korean citizen who grew up in four different countries including Canada, the United States, Qatar and the UAE. I currently live in the states and I am a college student.

Currently I can spend about $1M (USD) for immigration purposes. Technically I do have around $2M worth of liquid capital but I do not want to stretch my finances too much.

I plan on either starting a business or living as a full-time trader after graduation. I still have a year to decide, but I do want to see what options I have. While I can probably easily secure a golden visa, there are some restrictions as to where I can move to due to my unique circumstances.

I have a South Korean passport, which means that I am legally required to depart the United States to complete my military service pretty much right after college. And I definitely don't plan on doing that. AFAIK I can get an exemption as long as I can prove that I am a legal permanent resident of a foreign country. But this also means I would have to be able to apply and get a permanent residency card immediately. (So no Portugal, Spain, etc.)

Legal stuff aside, I never really cared about racism (I live in the American South, none of my friends are Asian), and I really don't have any religious preferences either. (By this I mean I would seriously consider living in Qatar or Dubai, but I know it's basically impossible to move there.)

However, I'm only fluent in English and culturally VERY American. I was in Europe last summer, and I felt very uncomfortable in France and Germany, although I LOVED Italy and Switzerland. I think friendliness is an important factor for me in this regard.

Also I want to live in a relatively modern country. If I do decide to leave the States, I think I will definitely miss Amazon, our banking services and the ability to get things done with little bureaucracy.

I know you guys might be wondering why I'm not staying in the states. It's definitely one of my top candidates currently. But I do want to eventually live in Europe and carefully examine each and every option I have before I make such a huge financial investment. Also the US doesn't have the best tax system.

Additionally, I'm about to propose to my Italian girlfriend. We've already talked about getting married, and she explicitly told me she doesn't really care where we move after college. So in theory I could move to Italy with her, but that would also mean that I should start studying Italian.

TLDR: In case I wasn't being clear enough, I am an English speaker (not a US citizen or resident) looking to relocate to a country that offers a quick pathway to citizenship or permanent residence. I have $1M I can afford to spend. I don't plan on studying or working there. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have for me.

AITAH for cheating on my wife with a future version of her?

Long story short, both me and my wife are time travelers and like to go on separate solo trips (we have been together for over seven million years, sometimes we need a break from each other). Recently, while out at a bar, I met an alternate-timeline version of my wife. The complication is that she came from a branch of reality in which we had already broken up, but she had traveled back in time to a point before that separation, when we were still married. Anyways after several (too many) drinks, we ended up going back to my place.

The next morning she was gone, and when I told my wife what had happened, she was livid and is now considering divorce. An intertemporal marriage attorney informed me she may have a valid claim that I engaged in romantic conduct with someone who was not legally my spouse. My defense is that, although this woman came from a future where we were separated, she had intentionally traveled to a point in her history where we were still married, so at the time of the encounter she regarded herself as my wife and I regarded her as a version of my wife.

If anyone has gone through a similar predicament, please let me know what my next steps should be.

Dear traveler of dreams

If you find yourself inundated with endless streams of questions, there's no such thing as "the right answer" to any of your questions. You're God. (And you are not God.) Are you walking the right path? Well, you, as a matter of fact, can't walk the wrong path, unless you decide that your path is wrong. What you know to be true has to be true. When you seek a concrete answer, a solid goal, a sense of stability, etc. you won't get it, for you are questioning and seeking, and no question can't be answered until you decide for it to be answered. If you feel stuck, nothing will ever change no matter how hard you try, for you are trying, not changing. You just have to decide. Or don't, it doesn't really matter. All roads lead to Rome.

Undress your mind. Dream a universe of your own making. Live a life in which you can't die. And maybe kill time while you're at it.

I was time traveling and now I can't go back.

I (M23B) recently quit my interstellar service job and decided to go back in time to get some Indian food because I was seriously craving curry. Long story short, I want to leave now but I can't go back because I forgot to buy a teleportation device and the nearest time station is 47 lightyears away in this universe. My subscription ends in about 72 years, and I will be sent back to my current timeline then. But 72 years is a little too long and it's hard to kill time without access to my interdimensional garage. (I didn't bring anything with me for the sake of immersion.)

When I signed my contract, I was told there would be emergency lines for time travelers scattered throughout the planet. But I have no idea how to find them in my continent (I'm in NA). I could theoretically travel to Egypt and sign in to the local galactic network through one of the pyramids, but I heard the guardians are not around anymore. And I'm not tech savvy enough to operate such ancient equipment with outdated software.

I've only met two other time travelers so far, and both have already departed without me (before I got to tell them I was stranded).

Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

I have social anxiety issues. My friend told me as a joke to just play chess during the interview. I decided to play subway surfers on my phone instead. Literally the best remote interview I’ve ever had and I secured the job on the spot as well
