Visiting for Spring Break 2027

Hello, I have never been to South Padre Island, but we are trying to venture to new places around the US for spring break (not college, just my 16 year old and myself). I just had some questions before determining where we are going to be for spring break.

  1. How busy is it down there at the end of March into Early April?
  2. What are the beaches like?
  3. What resorts do you recommend that aren't bedbug havens, gross, out dated? We like resorts with amenities like nice pools, bars, and right on the ocean.
  4. Is there a huge presence of college students and a party scene?
  5. What restaurants do you suggest (I love shrimp and she will eat sushi)?
  6. What attractions do you suggest?
  7. How is the shopping?
  8. What amusement parks are nearby?

Thanks for your help!! I appreciate all of your help and suggestions!!!

Visiting for Spring Break in 2027

Hello, I have never been to Galveston, but we are trying to venture to new places around the US for spring break (not college, just my 16 year old and myself). I just had some questions before determining where we are going to be for spring break.

  1. How busy is it down there at the end of March into Early April?

  2. What are the beaches like? I've heard people can drive on them, is there a beach that people are not allowed to drive on?
