Caught this view of the Battleship Texas during sunset this evening. The lighting, signal flags, and reflections on the channel made for one of my favorite shots from the trip.
It’s easy to forget you’re looking at one of the most historic ships in the U.S. while enjoying a Gulf Coast sunset.
Anyone else enjoy watching the ship from this angle?
i mean why wouldn’t it be, but i just want to ask those who do know !!
I've got a client who's wanting a beach photoshoot but doesn't want to be around a lot of people (or any if possible) and there aren't any means to rent a section for a short time. Any spots or coordinates that are good for this?
Anyone done any fishing here? Is it accessible via dirt road?
I’m looking for a place to get dinner and drinks with my husband. I’m not able to drink alcohol right now so I’ve been enjoying THC mocktails (already had some at The Spot the other night) and my husband loves craft beer and bourbon cocktails. Any recommendations? Not picky about the food, can be nicer or casual. Thanks!
I have a discussion to have with someone. Romantic interest aside, we have business to discuss and Eve's droppers are not welcome. What is a good place that is intimate, yet private on the island that doesn't break the bank in terms of price. Quality of food / services important, but privacy is Paramount.
I can only think of certain places in Austin where is a wall between booths, etc...
Edit: we could go up to 30 min off the island. Privacy is Paramount. Big moves...
Are we allowed to do our own fireworks, not the tall ones, at the beach?
My husband and I will be in Galveston for a week. We're definitely planning to spend time at the beach, but we're looking for other fun things to do as well.
We're not big on bar hopping—we'd rather explore local attractions, great restaurants, museums, nature, historic sites, or any hidden gems. What would you recommend?
Hi i have an extended summer break July 1st-8th and my 5 year old and I are looking to take a road trip from Austin. It sounds like the 4th gets kind of nuts and wanted to check in. Would going the 5th through 8th be better? Looking to see some of Galveston and my son is excited about a ferry and any train related activities there. Thanks for your time.
