Happy National Aviation Day! ✈️

Airshows are my favorite. The sound, the speed, the precision, and trying to catch that perfect moment as it flies by.

For #NationalAviationDay, I’m sharing a few of my favorite airshow photos I’ve captured over the years. 📸

Wild horses, a kayak, and kite surfers showing off. Assateague gave me a weekend I’ll never forget.

Some photos from one of my favorite adventures, kayaking around Assateague and photographing the island’s wild horses from the water.

A few kite surfers spotted me out on the water with my camera and apparently decided it was time to put on a show. It gave me the chance to capture some of my favorite action shots.

Wild horses, kite surfers, the ocean and kayaking. Pretty hard to ask for a better weekend.

Which photo is your favorite?

If you enjoy national and state parks, wildlife, kayaking and photography, follow me here on Reddit. I have plenty more adventures and photos to share.

The art inside Tampa International Airport is almost as interesting as the airplanes

Caught this colorful installation at TPA. I love airports that make the terminal itself part of the experience.

The People & Places of Downtown

Spent last night walking around Main Street with my camera. A few strangers were kind enough to let me take their portraits along the way.

I love street photography, but the downside is I don’t always get a chance to share the finished photos with the people in them.

If you’re in one of these photos, or recognize someone, drop a comment or share this post so I can get the photo to them.

And let me know which shot is your favorite!

Edit: For those who are asking to buy prints: (more photos too!) https://cowboykayker.pixieset.com/downtownhtxstreetsesh/

I would love to see it hanging. Send me a photo on the wall. Never thought this many people would enjoy my art. Feeling blessed.

Texas has no business looking this good.

A quick look at Palo Duro Canyon State Park from my trip through the Panhandle. This place is absolutely massive in person, and every turn seemed to give you a completely different view.

Caprock Canyon Bison 🦬

One of the highlights from my recent trip through Caprock Canyons State Park. I knew this was the official Texas State Bison Herd, but seeing one this close in person was a completely different experience. They're massive, quiet, and somehow even more impressive than photos make them look.

Finally made it to Palo Duro Canyon. Absolutely worth the drive.

Spent some time exploring Palo Duro Canyon this weekend, and I can definitely see why it's called the "Grand Canyon of Texas." The colors in the canyon change constantly depending on the light, and the scale is hard to appreciate until you're standing there.

I brought my camera and probably spent more time taking photos than hiking. 😅

Mineral Wells State Park

We ended our road trip chasing sunset from the cliffs at Mineral Wells State Park. 🌅

This was our 4th Texas State Park in just 4 days, and it might be the biggest surprise of the trip.

What's the most underrated Texas State Park? I need ideas for our next adventure.
