Ethan, the 12 year old Sonic.exe vessel returns as he faces the nefarious Lord X, with Bandado to follow. With Mother by his side and the hope of the victims instilled in him, there's nothing he can't do.
Ethan is a 12 year old Sonic.exeverse fan who gets sucked into X's world, but a void being (who we can refer to as Mother for now) interferes (similarly to Bandado) and moulds him a vessel made from Sonic.exe.
He trains with Mother undetected, and she sees value in him through his extensive knowledge on EXE lore, official and unofficial.

She's sad because she misses Dess, she misses when she'd play songs to Asriel. She's a powerful darkner, similar to the likes of Flowery and the Old Man.
But her story revolves around her blooming love with Ralsei.
