Cabin Fever is one of the worst game mechanics

I hate cabin fever. I shouldn't be penalized for being so good at surviving that I can afford to stay inside and read books or craft for a couple days. If I spent a month inside I'd understand.

I just did a big mission from Mystery Lake to the technical backpack and then spent like a week clearing the cargo containers in Timbewolf Mountain and then trekked back to Mystery Lake and spent 2 days inside crafting and cooking AND NOW I HAVE CABIN FEVER. I WAS JUST OUTSIDE FOR LIKE 15 DAYS.

Anyways I hate cabin fever.

Which items do you NEVER use?

For me it's the water purification tablets. Whenever I'm making water I usually have more than enough time to just fully boil it, so I don't think I've ever used the water tablets.

Post which items you NEVER use or post creative ways to use items that may not be obvious!

Oofos texture driving me CRAZY

I just bought my first pair of Oofos after hearing so much hype about them but the texture is driving me nuts. I hate how they feel. Every step I take feels like ripping your skin off of a vinyl chair when you're wearing shorts. (I live in San Diego, so the heat probably isn't helping)

Does this go away? Why do people like this? Is there another house slipper brand that isn't made out of gross rubber?

edit: I should add that I'm vegan and don't wear leather, so Birkenstocks are out.

Trashy Page-Turning Lesbian Summer Read

I don't want anything highbrow or literary, I don't necessarily want something that's just smut either.

Looking for a trashy summer read, a page turner that feels like adult Degrassi Junior High or Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Must be a female or non-binary author, not interested in lesbians written by men. Can be any genre.

Thanks!

Vintage fantasy from a female perspective

I’m having a Fantasy Book Summer and have a fondness for vintage fantasy (anything before 2000s), but as you may already know it’s dominated by male writers and female characters are often just sex objects or assault victims.

Looking for any fantasy with strong female characters. Doesn’t have to be a female writer, but is a plus. Preferably not YA. Thanks!

(I’m already familiar with Mercedes Lackey)

Are there any treatments that actually work to treat discoloration/acne scarring/sun damage?

I have a pretty significant amount of discoloration on my face from sun damage and from acne scars and plucking/picking. I'm currently getting electrolysis and am on medications/diet changes that have improved the acne, but I'm still left with the discoloration.

I asked the esthetician doing my electrolysis if there was anything that could help with the discoloration when I'm done with electrolysis, and I appreciated her honesty when she basically said "fIt's not really worth it. There's some minor improvement, but not very much for the high price tag."

What do all think? is she right? I'd be willing to spend a couple grand if there were a significant improvement, but from the research I've seen I haven't found anything. I've thought about microneedling at home, but also not sure if that's worth it.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
