Apparently an everyday curry cooked in Pakistani/ north Indian homes. Aloo = potatoes; gosht = (red) meat.

Made this loaf improvising along a recipe from u/woolshedwargamer2

No cream used; but a generous dollop of yoghurt.

I’m normally loath to cut into a fresh, still warm bread (it’s too soft and you muck up its shape for future slicing, 🫣lol). But there was enough stale bread only for one slice of toast, so the fresh loaf had to be slaughtered (This is how I think about any fresh loaf cut after less than ten hours resting - it’s cruel slaughter, innit. Like a little week old, milk-fed lamb…).

Anyway, I had the toast - better for the avo and egg in any case; the rest of the household had slaughtered lambkins…

Following u/Mr_Cornfoot’s pics the other day, and using their dough recipe. My first pizza-making attempt. Many things were learnt. The pizza was fair for a first attempt, I’d say.

Alas, the fresh bread was still baking. But I keep bits of leftover bread, cubed and dried out, so I could make croutons.

Served with basmati, and tomato and onion sambal.

Both done in airfryer, served with a salad and a watercress and parsley sauce/ dressing.

Seasoned, dredged in flour and breadcrumbs (no egg wash), and air fried. Gravy made in pan with yesterday’s chicken skin fond and Bisto.

Some chicken thigh fillets (skin intact), vaguely seasoned a la TexMex (celery salt, cumin, chilli powder, paprika, garlic powder) and pan fried with crispy skin, chopped, and then that pinto bean concoction from the other night, faux sourcream, improvised guacamole, home-fermented chilli sauce, shop bought tortilla (Tio Pablo - not great, too thick, too dry, cardboardy).

Good despite the disappointing tortilla.

1. Leftover mujaddara, but with quinoa not bulgur or rice, with freshly stirfried broccoli and green beans mixed in.
2. Pan fried trevally fillets.
3. Crispy wings tossed in a sweet-and-sour sauce.
