I released SCRAP: BLOODFALL – a €1.99 AI-assisted horror survival roguelite for PC

Hey everyone,

I recently released SCRAP: BLOODFALL, a dark industrial horror survival roguelite for PC.

The idea is simple:

Survive the horde. Build a stronger character. Kill the boss. Then find out how much worse the next wave gets.

🩸 30 playable characters
🔫 Firearms, melee weapons and upgrades
☠️ Elite enemies, minibosses and bosses
🏭 Dark industrial arenas
⚙️ Unlocks and progression
🩸 Gore and splatter
🔥 Fast roguelite-style runs

The game is currently €1.99 on itch.io.

🤖 Full transparency: a significant part of SCRAP: BLOODFALL was created with the assistance of generative AI, including AI-assisted graphical content.

AI tools were used during parts of development, while I assembled, modified, tested and continued improving the final game under Rustborn Studios.

I'm not trying to pretend this was made by a huge traditional development team. It's a small experimental indie project, and I'd rather be completely open about how it was created.

If you're into horror, horde survival and roguelites:

For €1.99 — would you give something like this a shot?

Brutally honest feedback is welcome. 🩸

I made a brutal horror survival roguelite – SCRAP: BLOODFALL

Hey everyone!

I recently released SCRAP: BLOODFALL, a small horror survival roguelite where the basic rule is pretty simple:

Survive the next wave. Then somehow survive the one after that.

The game throws you into dark industrial arenas filled with increasingly dangerous enemies while you build your character through weapons and upgrades.

🩸 Gore & splatter
🔫 Weapons and upgrades
☠️ Enemy waves & bosses
👤 30 playable characters
🏭 Dark industrial environments
🔥 Fast roguelite runs

The game is currently €1.99 on itch.io.

One thing I want to be completely transparent about:

🤖 A large part of SCRAP: BLOODFALL was created with the assistance of generative AI.

AI tools were used during different parts of development. I then assembled, modified, tested and continued developing the project under Rustborn Studios.

I know AI in game development is controversial, and I don't want to hide how the game was made. I'd rather let players know upfront and judge the result for themselves.

If you're into dark survival games, roguelites and ridiculous amounts of enemies coming at you:

For €1.99, I'm genuinely curious:

Would you give something like this a chance?

And if you try it, brutal feedback is absolutely welcome. 🩸

I just released my industrial horror roguelite Scrap Bloodfall – would love some honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I’ve just released my indie game Scrap Bloodfall on itch.io and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from people who actually enjoy trying smaller indie games.

Scrap Bloodfall is a dark top-down industrial horror roguelite set inside an abandoned factory complex called the Hellerwerk.

The core loop is pretty simple:

  • survive increasingly dangerous enemy waves
  • collect scrap from enemies
  • buy weapons and upgrades between waves
  • complete objectives during runs
  • fight elite enemies and bosses
  • unlock new playable characters and progression

The current version includes 30 playable characters, multiple industrial arenas, different enemy types, bosses, missions, permanent stats and a fairly heavy gore/splatter system.

I’ve spent a lot of time recently improving enemy variety, level readability, performance and character animation, but I’m at the point where feedback from actual players is more useful than me staring at the game for another hundred hours.

I’m especially interested in feedback about:

  • combat feel
  • difficulty/balancing
  • enemy variety
  • performance with larger hordes
  • whether the levels are easy enough to read
  • whether the game feels worth continuing after the first few waves

It’s currently available for Windows on itch.io for €4.99.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try. Even a few minutes of feedback would genuinely help.
