Scratchy McBiter

Hey all, I've been taking care of an 8 year old stray for a while now and had him fixed about three weeks ago so I can feel comfortable letting him. The issue is that he's a scratcher and a biter, and not in a playful way. They're these random fits of aggression typically when I pet him, which I assumed as an invitation since he's rubbing across my legs and giving headbutts, but he'll also just bite me when I'm standing there doing nothing. Trying to redirect with toys isn't doing jack either and it's discouraging me from fully taking him on as a pet. Will this just be who he is or will he subside on his own?

Indoor/outdoor cat care while gone

Hey all, I have an indoor/outdoor cat (former stray) and might be going back to school in the fall. The issue is there might be a day or two in the week where I'm gone for about fifteen hours straight between school and work. I'm afraid he's going to be really stressed out being stuck inside for that long. Has anyone ever had to deal with their indoor/outdoor cat while being gone for so long? I'm even contemplating not going to school because of it.

Feral cat advice

Hello, I've been feeding and caring for a feral cat that's been coming around my apt courtyard and recently had him fixed, got him shots, and treated for worms/parasites, so I can feel comfortable letting him inside when the weather sucks. Except I don't plan on taking him with me when I eventually move. I really just don't want the responsibility or expenses for a full time pet, plus his feral side still causes him to scratch and bite me at the drop of a dime. I'm not moving anytime soon but it'll happen eventually. I just found out he's roughly eight years old, so he's gotten this far without me, but will it still be considered cruel to leave him behind?
