[AU/TH]How do I convince an elderly person that they're being scammed?

(The post is throwing an error so I'll keep this as short as possible)

An 84 yr old Australian friend is being scammed and it's been going on for 4 years, which I just found out.

It's a "You've won a prize but need to keep paying us money" type scam over Facebook messenger and they've rinsed him of 1000s and he still believes the money is coming.

He's not family so I can't take his phone and do the necessary blocking nor will he allow me to speak to his family in Australia about it. We're in Thailand but I think the scammers are elsewhere in the world by the looks of the times they're sending him messages.

I've explained, showed him proof that the images they're sending are fake and showed him how the scam works but he'll believe me for a minute and then suddenly start talking about how he's going to spend the money when it gets here.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First Game, First Win with IA

Coming to the end of my first year playing 40k and I've been using Orks up until today. I love them but needed something a little different and Imperial Agents really caught my eye.

I played my first game with Imperial Agents today, against Chaos Space Marines and my opponent conceded at the end of round 2.

I played Veiled Blade because it's cool af with the assassin abilities, so all assassins, Kroyle, Deathwatch, and chaff etc.

My biggest question is why does this faction seem to be hated so much or have such a low win rate? It felt like they played great today and the chaff was a lot better than I expected them to be. The Eversor took out 3-4 terminators on his own and Kroyle, Vindicator, Armiger, Calledus wiped out their Defiler on the first opportunity. Deathwatch with Thunder hammers are great. Subductors are great chaff and the Rogue Trader unit giving infiltrators was awesome to get started. Callidus helped against Overwatch with the additional CP cost.

I get that they have no army rule but Kroyle gives a mini Oath of Moment. Culexus gives a mini Shadow in the Warp. It feels like there's a lot of tools in their toolbox in addition to this.

My next questions would be the best way to get this on the actual tabletop. IA Combat Patrol to start?

I'm behind on painting my Orks so happy to purchase these in bits gradually but would also like to save money where possible on sets.

EDIT: We played on TTS.
