Modular VLS Missile Tests (Vanilla)
One night when struggling to fall asleep for work the next morning this idea of a control system for an effectively pre-programmed vertical launch rocket came to me.
Its not finished at all, and I hope to mount it on a vehicle, but so far its been very fun to work on and also pretty promising.
All the rockets (missiles?) have 2 pairs of anglometers and the new thrusters to control pitch and yaw - the pitch side is also how it can be aimed vertically as those anglometers are attached to a steering hinges which sets the desired angle of the rocket (as seen in the vid) after it has been ejected upwards, thus also controlling the distance it travels.
I attempted to create a VLS rocket system a year or two back with preprogramming fin angles, however that system suffered drastically if you were moving even at a few km/h or on a slight incline; because this system is controlled entirely by anglometers it does not suffer this issue and can be tilted in practically any directly and will land in a pretty consistent area.
Originally I only had anglometers and thrusters for pitch as thats all thats necessary when firing from a stationary position, however I would imagine that as soon as I mount it on a vehicle which isnt perfectly steady without YAW control they will be flying everywhere.
I'm very happy to be playing besiege again and I still havent even touched the new campaign haha
I'll definitely create a follow up video when I've perfected this system, maybe even as a youtube video as I've been wanting to begin uploading random vids to archive to my yt channel which was originally dedicated to the finals and destiny 2 pvp compilations however due to recent events I will not be touching that d2 specifically ...those who know :/
Worlds first nuke carrier Canberra shot down by the Japanese Huey?
People still calling bows underpowered is crazy.
The amount of people who still seem to believe bows (on mnk) are not one of the absolute best primary weapons in the game right now is crazy.
No other primary weapon in the game combines the stupidly high aim assist (higher than even 120s if you stack hip fire perks), insane mobility/movement potential, team shots with 131 to the head and 101 to the body, ttk rivaling 140s if youre decent as well as 1c1b killing and >120hc aim assist range. There is some semblance of a learning curve with draw cancelling for perfect draw and having to "pre-charge" before fights, but once you've spent 2 mins with it, they are insane and I'm sick of pretending they're not one of the absolute best primaries in the game if you have a few braincells.
Long gone are the days where bows are off meta and underpowered, but ultimately this does all come down to the genuinely absurd amount of aim assist when hip firing thats achievable nowadays with things like RDMs and enhanced perks, paired with archers gambit's insane draw time reduction and maxing the reload stat while retaining the ability to 1 crit 1 body.
For anyone doubting - I've got more than enough time using bows to talk this definitively on them, also I was in that funny clan everyone hates.
I have only stopped using bows in recent times because they are just that boringly easy and effective.
