2nd Month Weigh-In: The same weight!

I went the doctors today and weighed myself after 2 months on 2.5mg of Mounjaro. Unfortunately, I was the same weight (maybe one kilo down)! The funny thing is that I'm sure my pants feel looser and I have definitely been snacking less on sweets. My food noise and cravings have been reduced. I'm going to start on 5mg next week, and I hope that I'll see more weightloss. I feel a bit disappointed as I had been trying to eat better.

Glove fingers too long at practical placement

I just started my practical placement and we use nitrile gloves. I usually wear medium and for some reason the fingers of the glove are really long and bunch up. I pull each finger down so I can get a smooth finger tip, but it takes a while. I’ve tried large gloves which are worse, and small ones where I couldn’t get my hand in. My trainer reprimanded me, but I can’t help it if I have short fingers and a fat hand. Help!

So sick of this job market; going to start my own cleaning business

I’ve just finished my PhD in Sociology in Australia. I haven’t found any ongoing work in or outside academia. I couldn’t even get a job in a government call centre, or any grad programs. I’m so sick of the Australian job market. I feel like I’ve just got to get down to brass tacks, and take any retail, hospitality or cleaning job I can find. I’m even thinking of starting my own cleaning business as I can set my own rates and schedule. Australia has a need especially for cleaners in the aged and disability sectors, and the pay is okay.

Mable and Domestic Work

I recently joined Mable and clients there mostly seem to be looking for domestic assistance and cleaning. What is the difference between the two? Would I then charge more for cleaning than domestic assistance, as it’s more thorough? I’m not sure how I would organise my rates. Also, most posts have 10 plus applications, so how would you stand out from the competition?

Personality changes on Mounjaro

Has anyone noticed any personality changes on Mounjaro? I'm on my second week of injections at 2.5mg and I've noticed that I can no longer suppress my cranky feelings, as I usually do. I've become salty af and can't bite down my sarcasm or disillusionment with the world as I usually can do. It's like the emotions stored in my gut from long ago keep wanting to escape. There's no donuts and sugar to dull the pain. For context, I'm on antipsychotics and antidepressants for depression and anxiety.

Anyone split their doses? Inject twice a week?

I got my first shot of Mounjaro 2.5 mg on Friday afternoon. The appetite suppression was immediate and strong. By day five Tuesday, I started to feel ravenous and like a drug addict waiting for their fix, despite eating regular meals. I even woke that night because of hunger pains, and had to have a protein drink. Has anyone taken half the dose (30 clicks?) twice a week, say on days 4 and 7? I also am on antipsychotics.

My first experiences with Mounjaro

It's been three hours since I had my very first shot of Mounjaro. I'm excited. It's so weird, but I put in a splash of my usual full cream milk into my coffee, but I can hardly drink it. It's too creamy, whereas before I was a creamy foam top latte girl. The more cream the better! I'm also feeling like eating lots of liquidy things like fruit, which I usually wasn't that interested in. My food noise is perhaps halved as well. What were other people's first experiences like?

I want to start Mounjaro, but I’m afraid of it worsening my depression and anxiety. I currently take antipsychotics and need to lose the weight I put on from them. Did Mounjaro affect your mood, energy levels, and increase apathy?
