Fun fact #2🤓

If you missed my 1️⃣ fun fact, it was about how I came up with the idea of the utility closet. Long story short, I wanted Santa to have a place where he could quick change at. Like Superman. Where he hides his true identity. 2️⃣The second fun fact about The Carousel is that the underside was going to just be red and white pillars. But then I thought nah that’s too basic. I wanted the bottom to be just as interesting as the top. So I decided on a Snowflake! It was tricky though because some of the plates above it were angled and some weren’t. I ended up using layers that allowed me to hit all the right holes to make a solid connection. And let me tell you she is sturdy!!!! You could throw it across the room and it wouldn’t brake! 🤣SIKE! It’s strong but not invincible. Anyway let me know what you think! And if you haven’t Supported the Christmas Carousel yet I sure would appreciate it! I added a Minecraft house to my winter village! 🎄❤️

I did so many fun Mocs over last Christmas and I figured it’s the to start showing them off! My youngest loooovvves Minecraft. I had him let me know if he ever came across a snowy village so we could make one of the houses out of Lego and add it to the village. He was stoked. He had got the advent calendar, so he had all of the fun stuff that came in it to use up. Of course he wanted to build each brick and not just use a brick because that’s not what Minecraft bricks look like! The paths had to be set in deeper than the snow, because that’s how Minecraft’s looked. Every cube had to equal a brick plus a plate, because in Minecraft everything is square. So I kinda opened a can of worms with this project but I’m sure he will remember this forever. There is well over 1000 pieces in the house alone. The screen shot is the house he chose. I think we got really close. It’s modular too so he can play with it. Roof comes off and the top floor comes off. My photos are kinda bad so sorry about that!

Finally finished!!

I took Malfoy Manor and made it into a spooky neighbor for the creator haunted house. I tried my best not to pull from my own pieces but eventually had to get about 4 and I’m going to still add some of the 1x4 wood board looking tiles still too. I did like a lot of the details about this set so I tried to keep them but tweak them a bit to make it my own. I don’t know anything about Harry Potter so I just pieced out my minifigures except for the little goblin guy and the white scary looking dude. But yeah this was super fun!

Tonight’s conversation

Conversation between myself and my 8yr old. Mom, I really want a tv in my room.
Me: Oh yeah? That would be pretty cool.
8yr old: Or like to have a younger sibling!
Me: Tv it is! How big do you want it?

Fun Fact!

Here’s a little fun fact about my Lego Ideas creation. The idea for the hidden conductor closet wasn’t always going to be for him. It started out just a utility closet with dials and gears. So that way it looked like you were seeing what made the carousel work. After that ideas just started going crazy! I thought that the conductor could keep his lunch in there. Which then spiraled me into a closet like Superman has. Where he goes in the conductor and comes out Santa! That idea stuck with me the most because I used to love all of the old Christopher Reeves Superman movies growing up. The only problem was that there wasn’t a lot of space to work with so I tried to get all of the essentials the conductor would need to change into Santa! https://beta.ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/ab30af6c-ceb0-413d-b933-b18b2b73536b?comment\_uuid=f343ed96-8c45-41db-93e0-790f2b7f1493&tab=comments

This has been so much fun to create. It started as just something to put in my own Christmas Village. But then I figured maybe other people would like this in theirs too!!
