Shiva is 11 years old today!!

My girl turns 11 today! She seems pretty strong and healthy but our boy Django passed in November and he was only 10 years old so I treasure every minute with her. We did a birthday photo shoot! Please send her some love❤️

My short story

49 year old, female, post menopause, with Hashimotos. Have been pretty fit and healthy my whole life. Nothing obvious changed in my life but all the sudden I had put on about 15 pounds in what seemed like overnight. This may sound like vanity weight but I am 5 ft tall and that’s a lot for my petite frame! I also was told to get on cholesterol medication for extremely high cholesterol and could not drop the weight. Started microdosing February of 2025. My goal was 12-15lbs. I ended up dropping about 18lbs and have subsequently put on at least a pound of muscle. My starting dose was 1.25 mg and I never went over 2.5 mg. Am currently maintaining at 2 mg. I lift heavy weights, eat protien and sleep! I feel strong and back to myself!

Red bump

My girl occasionally gets these bumps on her face. I clean them and use a mild antibiotic gel on them. (She has a prescription for stys she gets on her eye lids and the vet said I could use it for other things). I use ceramic bowls and wash them regularly but she still occasionally gets them. This one has been sticking around a long time. It doesn’t seem tender or infected but wondering if others have thoughts?

BOAS Surgery Before and After

Her breathing was insane prior to surgery! Dogs who can’t breathe don’t live long lives. She can run now, she goes up and down stairs. Her quality of life is night and day. She never really breaths heavy at all now!

Before and After

Just want to share how far Raisin has come. Most of this treatment occurred while she was still in the shelter. Terrible allergies can be hard to treat. The rescue where we adopted got her top of the line treatment. A change of food, probiotics, allergy med, weekly baths and daily wipe downs and she is so much happier! Look at her now!! She is a little high maintenance but aren’t we all??

Dogs can sunburn too!

Our first summer with Raisin and she loves the sun! Got her these sun blocking t shirts to avoid sunburn and her black hair getting too hot. She isn’t allowed to cook herself for too long but I let her lay out for a few minutes. These sun block t shirts are from Spark Paws and fit bull dogs pretty well. She is about 36 lbs, a very low rider, and is wearing XL.
