I needed a dress watch for those few times when I wear a jacket, or suit, or tux. (Times when I don’t think a dive watch with a steel bracelet (my EDC) is appropriate.) I don’t anticipate using it a whole lot, but for the price, this is awesome (and just what I need)
English study w/ English subjects, but interesting conclusions
I try really hard to be understated in how I dress and carry myself. I have no desire to buy a watch that I think is obnoxious and status-seeking. Even if I had the money I'd never buy an RM or Jacob & Co for example. So i was surprised the other day when we went to a local joint after dinner for a slice of pie and coffee. The server commented on my watch - "Is that a Longines?" It turns out that he was a watch enthusiast and we talked about wrist sizes, case materials, complications, band/bracelet materials, etc. It's the only time someone has asked me about the watch I was wearing and it was a nice, unexpected moment
