Was it to fulfill a contract? Did they think they would somehow garner a younger audience with it? Did it have potential to be the greatest story ever told if it went on for 5 more seasons?
A lot of the time I'm just sitting here thinking about when lemonhope is a stowaway in a pirate ship and it crashes and he finds limes in the wreckage and he says "hehe okay I guess?!" Whatever the fuck he was talking about was so real. Baffling but man what great writing.
