Got my buyback offer about 3 weeks later

Morley’s KBB + 40% for my 2019 Leaf SL Plus ended up being about $16k. Because I still had an outstanding loan due on the car, Nissan is using some of that payoff to clear my debt with my lienholder. I’m leaving with about $9k.
Looking at either an Ioniq 5 (yes, I know.) or Kona Electric to succeed her.
Despite my gripes with the fast charging and Chademo, I really did love this car. It’s a shame there’s nothing exactly like it on the market. I’ll miss it 🫡
2023 Premiere for $22k
I am unfortunately having to deal with the repurchase re:my 2019 Leaf SL Plus and am looking for a worthy replacement. And yes, I am considering sticking with Nissan despite the Leaf battery kerfuffle.
- Is this a good buy at this price?
- Long-time Ariya owners, what have you liked and disliked about your car?
- Any tingling complaints/dealbreakers I should be aware of?
Debating between one of these guys/comparable trim, Ioniq 5/6, or an EV6. Cheers!
Better late than never…
ed: service is looking at it, I should have an update by eod
I took my ‘19 SL Plus for the update back on June 13th. I’ve since done a few fast charges with no issues popping up. Fast forward to tonight, August 11th, and the turtle finally decided to show up after Level 2 charging overnight.
And of course it’s after Nissan’s service desk and consumer affairs lines are closed for the day. I dropped it off at my local dealer and will be back in the morning.
They had the audacity to suggest I trade it in for a newer car! The rep had no idea about the campaign, he assumed it was just an update the car needed.
Can AC/Level 2 charging trip the DTC?
title. I really don’t want to spend a whole bunch extra fast charging just to trigger it.
I don’t think my Nissan service desk tried DCFC after applying the update.
