the only viable way to play graveborns is with the dead tide fleet artifact, or to supplement with units from other factions. the biggest problem is staying power. hodgkin doesnt become tanky enough until higher ascension when he gets his immunity to physical damage, everyone else is extremely squishy and the only other somewhat tanky unit zorya pops up after everyones already dead.

just swap out shemira for daimon, callan, or even thoran

and while youre at it maybe add koko or mikola too for maulers, because smokey gets shut down by literally everything that hepler is a more reliable healer

i gotta say this seasons story is definitely an improvement over ToM, still not on the level of ToD, but that season really was lightning in a bottle (also it had gala and i still love her and give her gifts even after maxing out her affinity)

when it was first revealed to be a succession story, i was expecting the typical "two parties vying for influence and power to make their claim for the throne" story, but i was pleasantly surprised. the mystery of orions motives really kept me on the edge of my seat. he was uncontestedly first in line, was beloved by the people, had no competition from peggy, who admired him deeply, and no opposition from gwendolyn, who wasnt seeking to rule, so why was he doing all this? i dont know if everyone saw it coming, or if it was obvious, but to me the reveal of his parentage legitimately blew my mind. i didnt even consider that he wasnt of royal descent, but the fact that hes part mauler too actually left me flabberghasted. everything made sense when that was revealed.

now i do have a few qualms, but im hoping theyll be addressed in phase 2 or in the future, so ill hold off on them for now

i wanna know what everyone else thinks. any standout moments, any possible plotholes or inconsistent plot points?

gotta give my flowers to the voice actors. gwyneth and hendriks argument felt so real and emotional, definitely a highlight for this season

... however, i gotta say, and i mean this with no shade whatsoever, the performance from rowans VA is really really lagging behind everyone else, it feels like they just took the first take of them reading the script
