Old leaf ? Or new issue ?

Old leaf ? Or new issue ?

Got this baby a while ago, she was on sale and never had any issues with pests, or with her care. Now im wondering what’s wrong when her new leaf started turning yellow. Just dropping a leaf? Or is there a bigger issue?

She’s currently in a tropical mix in her original nursery pot. I checked the roots not long ago and they seemed to be fine, not root bound either. I let her get direct/indirect light for around 11 hours a day (I found that to be best, she’s grown pretty big in the past few months) and I water her once the soil is dry with a few drops of fertilizer.

Saw this while gardening, could it be used for a little miniature woodsy guy?

Honestly just posting this because I thought it would be cool if someone could use this for a character, kind of reminds me of a helmet or a face with hollow eyes, let me know what you guys think! If you guys use it I’d be happy to see!!! ^_^

Beetle owners of Canada I need help!!

I’m looking for a safe and reliable seller that deals with native insects, and beetles that can be kept in captivity here in Canada’. I’m aware of the Elk stag, but I’m finding mixed results about it being a beginner friendly species to start with. I’ve always been fascinated with beetles and other invets, and I would love to give one the best care possible to live a long and enjoyable life. If anyone could let me know what substrate they use, the gallon size of their enclosure, whether it’s better to purchase a grub or an adult, and any other beginner tips would be awesome!!
