Is there a book series where the first series is about a few people and the second series is about their children?

Hiiiii. So I want to know if there's a series where the POV of their children is as popular as the series of their parents' POV (like Naruto and Boruto- I know Boruto isn't as loved as Naruto and that it is an anime but still).

Can I use my side character for the first few chapters with first person perspective then change to my main character with first person?

Hiiiii. So I'm a complete beginner writer and I need help with this! So when I first imagined my story of the book I imagined it with my side character (I already made the characters before but still imagined the story with the eyes of my side character).

I know a lot of people must've asked about this but I want to change the perspective just a few times in between my books too (basically in the start and in between).

I would really appreciate some help.
