Cannot find a medical book

Hello,

There is a newly released medical book, a german anatomy book, also called the bible of anatomy. It is very popular and pretty much every teacher, prof, is using this book. I need just a few pages here and there because some teachings are a bit confusing without the main source. But the version is very new, the hardcover was released 2 weeks ago and the ebook 3 weeks ago. And it is expensive

Hardcover:
ISBN 978-3-437-42352-9

Ebook:
EAN 9783437096235

Is there a way to get the book for free or do i need to wait and if so how long could it be? I am new to all of this so maybe I havent searched it right. Are there other sites who might have it? I cannot use torrents and such. Also i live in germany and I think using torrent will cause more harm than doing it freestyle.

Also this is not a book request. I will do it on the wiki in case it is not available on libgen.

When are new book titles available?

Im in need of this book: ISBN 978-3-437-42352-. But it costs more than my allowance for 2 months. I am broke. The ebook came out on the 11th this month and the hardcover on the 16th. It is a ver popular anatomy book among mainly teacher, less for students.
Can I be hopeful that zlib might have this book in the next 2 weeks?

Resmed aisense 10 bipap with humidifier experience

Hello

I dont have sleep apnea but very dry nostrils where nothing seems to help. My ENT mentioned Bipaps that can himidify when sleeping but i need to buy it since it is not covered by insurance. So before testing it out I need your experience. How is the humidity with the heated hose? Does water come out like a watery smoke or does it just humidify the air a it? Is it dependant on the pressure? I will most likely use the lowest setting since I most likely dont have sleep apnea but I wondered if increased pressure would be benefitial for better humdification or worse?

Could you guys test it out for me by activating it on lowest settings and max humidity and just tell me how the humidity is? Is it like inhaling Nacl when sick or is the humidity way more subtle? If you use the bipap on lowest pressure and max humidity and you breath through it while awake, how does it feel like? Can you feel the humidity? Does it wet your nose? Or is the humidity „weak“?

Phantosmia hits on my sleep, what to do?

Sometimes when I get high exposure to allergens or irritants (I seem to have mixed rhinitis), I wake up in the middle of the night with a very weird smell. The smell is so weird, that my body seems to detet it was danger because I need to actively push myself to breathe through the nose. Actively doing it hinders me from sleeping again. I dont know how to describe the smell, but it is not really foul, but it also does not exist in my environment. I would describe the smell as „inflammation“.

What can I do to combat it? How can I mask it, especially at night? Is there like a good nasal spray to mask the smell with a pleasent one?

A bit crazy but cpap might be the solution to my suffering

I dont know if i have sleep apnea, but I did one sleep study a few years ago and even though I only slept for 3 hours and woke up it was not pathological.

My issue is not sleep apnea, but my terrible sleep quality and quantity. I think it is because of allergens, or bad air quality. Either way my nose gets inflammed, congested, irritated and my sleep quality becomes miserable.

One day after doing nasal irrigation as usual I wore a ffp2 mask because my nose get irritated when I dont cover it right after the neti pot. I was very tired and accidently slept with the mask on. The mask was very loosely. After waking up in the middle of the night to throw the mask away because it was uncomfortable i slept again and woke up again. The max sleep was 5-6 hours. But I woke up massively refreshed. My brain felt clear, the fog was gone. This is how good sleep felt like for the first time in 20 years. I didnt feel like i was hit by a bus. I was refreshed!!

When I tried to use it again I felt wayy too much air resistance when sleeping. I couldnt hit the same loose mask fit again. It was either too loose or too tight.

So I decided to buy a CPAP. One that gives me fresh clean air (mask filter), that gives me nice humidity (clean from water tank instead of my own breath) and also reduced air resistence when exhaling (mask only for nose or a bipap).

The issue is I dont know if and to what degree it might or might not help me. I dont want to invest 700 euro plus and get disappointed. Is there a way in germany to buy a cheap used one, is ther a marketplace for these medical devices? Can I somehow get like a test time before buying. Is there a way to check used ones for certain aspects?

I thought about the resmed airsense 10. it has bipap, water tank and a heated hose. It seems perfect, but these machines are expensivee!!! Also it maay sound bad (or maybe illegal) but can I buy a new one, test it, give it back after 14 days warranty and if it helped me— buy a used one, and if it didnt help me —> keep suffering but at least returning it and not losing money.

I am broke tbh and cannot afford 300 plus. I have 100 bucks on my pocket and less than 100 on my bank. I might be able to get a few hundred euro from friends or family but I need to repay it obviously. So I cannot do anything extreme. My ENT physician said that it might help but insurance wont cover it so I need to buy one myself. The ENT wasnt even sure you can buy it without a prescription but either way the ENT was not helpful in any way, told me to try if i have the money or just keep suffering (literally).

Terrible sleep quality due to allergens

My sleep quality is really bad due to allergens. My main issue is my nose not only being blocked but mainly irritated. I once slept with a mask on that was only loosely and it massively imporved my sleep quality but i took a hit on sleep quantitiy since the mask was a bit annoying. I have realized that it must be the air im breathing in that is impairing my sleep. But the issue is I do not know how to fix it. The classical air purifier does not help.

Is there a mask designed to filter out irritants from the air while at the same time keeping the air moist? My main issue with masks like ffp2 is that the air resistance is too high during sleep. So is there a good alternative i could use to improve sleep? Or can i even make it on my own with a hepa filter or something else? I even thought about buying a cpap with air humidifier but that seems a bit too excessive.

2 similar days yet massive sleep quality difference

I have some mold growth in my room and because of that i slept in another room for 2 days. Both days were simiar yet the sleep quality was different.

So I woke up at 6pm at the mold infested room, but the area with the mold was isolated. I slept pretty much as always, not very good. Then I started to get rid of the mold. Using sodium hypochloride solutions, wore my ffp2 mask, glasses, etc. and after a few hours I left the room to eat, came back, did round 2 on treating the place, went out, ate again, even ate some ice cream (I almost never eat these sugar bombs), some black tea and went in for round 3. after that I changed clothes, took a shower and didnt go back to the room.

Then I went to the new room where I would sleep. My bed was encased but it was on the ground. And my noses were pretty clogged, it felt like I was breathing through a straw so I did 2 neti pots, one with hypertonic nacl solution and one with isotonic. Both were 2 hours apart. I went to bed and still couldnt really sleep, probably because of the new sleeing place. Anyways, at 10 am I slept and woke up 4-5 hours later. (my last meal was at4:30am so 4-6hours apart) And these 4-5 hours of sleep were pretty much all I needed. I had mental clarity, I didnt yawn a single time, my head felt clear, no pressure, no strange feeling. I just slept really well. Even tho I only slept for 4-5 hours. I even think the reason I woke up was because I had some pain on the back side of my soft palate, prolly because of the neti pots (I tried to ulsate the water to cause turbulence and get rid of allergens) Usually I need minimum 8-10 hours.

The issue: I thought it probably was the mold. I was happy. And maybe the neti pot.

So on the new day, I went out to play outside with my nephew a bit, 1 years old. We would just walk around, run a bit etc. after that I went home, ate, went through the mold again, the last bit of the mold was removed. I didnt shower this time, because I only removed what was already dead, just scrubbing the last bit out. But changed my clothes and rinsed my hair. Did a neti pot again before sleep, this time once isotonic, my nose wasnt as clooged as yesterday. My last meal was even the same, I hate eggs with rice. Same cooking method, same ingredients just the timing was a bit off, I ate at about 2-3am and I slept at 6-7am and woke up at 5pm. I slept through this time and yet I feel exhausted as always.

Both days were similar, my eating routine, even eating the same last meal, neti pots, my activities. The first day was a bit more exhausting, the second day was more relaxed. The first day was more stressful, because I had to organzied a lot of things like checking if everything is ready, removing my encasings to wash them etc. the second day was just adapting to the changes that were made on the first day.

Both days I ate my first meal late after I woke up and my last meal early before I slept. Allergen wise (clogged nose) Id say the first day was worse. My nostril routine with neti pots, nasal oil and spray were the same. The difference in food was: on the first day I hate rice with chickpea stew, ice cream, black tea some crackers, water, eggs and rice and bananas. On the second day it was fish sticks witch ketchup, orange juice, eggs with rice, bananas, water.

Sleeping location didnt change, last meal didnt change, stress level was less on 2nd day, physical activities was more on first day, clogged nose was worse on first day. Issues sleeping was worse on first day. Sleeping times were 2-3 hours apart, sleep quantitiy was higher on second day.

No supplements were used, only medication was my SLIT immunotherapy against dust mites. The time I use it is always the same (after waking up).

Yet the first day gave me a sleep quality I need to achieve!

Please ask me anything, what do you think might me the reason? I know that sleeping during the day where the sun shines at me is bad but this was the adaptation to the mold issue I had. Usually I try to sleep at night and wake up in the morning yet Ive never acheived a sleep quality like I did yesterday.

Mod to build eggs that turn into your biters fighting other biters (as well)?

I was on editor trying out stuff when I found arachnid eggs that when destroyed turn against biters and fight them. I absolutely love this idea but this seems to be editor only since I cannot build them on my own. Is there a mod that allows me to build them? (Factorio version 1, not 2 or space age)? Video:

3M HF-802 SD alternative?

Im searching for a mask I can wear pretty much every day to clean my house from dust mites but also doing activities indoor without using a new mask every day. Since I clean my house every day I need one that I can wear for physical activities, that fits well and is comfortable for approximately 8 plus hours and most importantly a mask I can speak with. The audio doesnt need to be great bit when I speak with a normal voice I still want to hear me clearly.

The filter should be able to fitler dust mites and their feaces (allergens), pollen and mold spores. The 3 im most allergic to.

I have found this mask but before I purchase it with filters for 60-70 euros, I wanted to know if this mask fits my criteria or if there is a better one at the price range of under 100 euros.

Dehumidifier for mold and dust mites

I live in o dehu where my room gets a humidity of 50- max 70 percent when measuring with a cheap device (not sure how accurate). So Im thinking about purchasing a dehumidifier to effectively cut of dust mide production and help with mold that keeps growing right next to my window.

Do dehumidifier work? And are there good ones that can keep the humidity on a constant level such as 40-50 percent max? How is the temperature? And do they really work with dust mites? Or can dust mites still grow on edges on the bed etc? Like do they actually decrease symptoms and increase sleep quality?

I already have an air purifier (Philips Series 2000 AC2887/10)

What encasings to buy in germany?

This is for my german allergy sufferer so I will write it in german:

Hello,

I got prescribed a. New round of encasings for my dust mite allergy. All I care about is protection, the feeling, the design does not matter. Which one would you encourage. My ensurance pretty much said they would pay 80 bucks, rest on me and it needs to be a collab. So I am assuming when they collab with a brand, that the brand is trustworthy. But what material should I go for? Are there some better than others? (I live in germany)..
