Do you guys have any recommended study methods for a student that wants to succeed, but still be able to have study / life balance? :)))

Thank you for reading my post, I really appreciate it :)

I am an Australian student currently doing medical science. Upon completing my first semester at university, I realised that my study method might be... crappy, because it resulted in me cramming all my content in the last 2 weeks.

My method: study and focus too much on lectures, get burnt out a few weeks into the semester, and end up with a hundreds of pages of notes per lecture by the time exams approach... then cram and go through the notes to relearn them (as if I was studying them for the first time because I end up forgetting all the content). I am also a HUUUGEEE procrastinator, so if you have tips for that, I will also appreciate it 👀

A lot of people recommend using flashcards to practice active recall throughout the semester so that I do not have to cram and relearn content before the exam, but I really do not know how to do that. That is, when do I make them, how often do I review them, and how many do I make?? If you do not recommend flashcards, then what should I do?

On top of this, i still want to be able to relax, spend time with my family, go out, etc!

If anyone has a study method that they use, and even their specific routine throughout the week, I will be extremely grateful if you shared them. I do get plenty of content in my course and it is pretty difficult stuff.

THANK YOUUU <3

Sore neck. Please help me!!!

I am 19F, I am 168cm (Approx. 5'6) and weigh 82kg. I am... Arab (it says to add race lol idk). No smoking, no drinking, no drugs. I am from Australia! My main health issue is my disc herniation + sciatica (I take celecoxib when it flares every now and then), and previously I was extremely overweight but I have lost approx. 25kg so far and still going.

For 3-4 weeks now my neck (sides and back, as well as slightly down to the upper shoulder) has been sore/uncomfortable. My range of motion is not affected at all (I can move left, right, up, down normally, no pain doing that). It is not the usual severe neck pain that lasts 3 days. It feels like sometimes my head is heavy. Whenever I am sitting and laying down (ESPECIALLY LAYING DOWN) I cannot find comfort. It feels like there is tension/pain. It is not excruciating, however, just sore.

I have tried sleeping with a low pillow, high pillow, with a towel under my neck, different positions, etc and it is all almost the same. Sleeping without a pillow is slightly better but extremely uncomfortable for the rest of my body, especially because I have a chronic back issue so I wake up super stiff.

After taking a CT scan, my doctor said there was nothing wrong with me. I asked another GP and she gave me Norgesic tablets and I have been on them for 3 days. Same thing. Sure, I feel drowsy a little so I am sleeping slightly better, but the annoying soreness just won't go away.

I am so irritated PLEASEEEE help me doctors. I have not slept properly for so long. Do I just waste money on a physio again or can this be managed in some other way? What is going on with my neck...

I want to understand my behaviour towards my formerly disloyal boyfriend.

I know the smart move would be to leave but I want to understand this. In this relationship of mine (Long distance, 2 years) he has basically cheated on me, not physically, lied and hid things behind my back involving corn, talking to other girls, etc.

I am extremely insecure and jealous and whenever I go through his social media, whenever he is distant, etc, I just KNOW something is up. I think because whenever I had a doubt and searched deeply, I found exactly what I was anticipating. No matter how much he reassures me (which he fails to do a lot, I know) I have noticed I do not budge. I cannot trust him and if I wanted to, it means stepping down and letting him win. I do not want to move on from anything and I constantly feel the need to bring up things he did in the past because whenever I remember, it makes me rage.

HOWEVER, this is what I want to know. I now love finding things. Not love as in it makes me happy to find out he is disloyal, but I think I have gone psychotic. I have made fake accounts multiple times to see if he would cheat. I try to join his games to see if he is being flirty around girls again. My body shakes, I get nauseous and cold and just feel the exact same way I feel when I do find things. But I do it and I constantly try to find shit and try to expose him so I can fight him and hold more grudges.

Can a psychologist explain WHAT is happening and why? Am I like going crazy

i was not made aware that we could not write outside the boxes

the invigilators did NOT even mention it even once across ALL my exams (side note I am in special provision exams and signed with disability services, so all my friends were shocked to hear that I was not made aware of it - considering their invigilators kept repeating that anything outside the box does not get scanned).

I emailed my coordinators but i feel like that can't do crap now...

I am already on the cusp of failing bruh can I do anything else? Is there hope?
