My colposcopy experience: 2 months anxiously waiting for my appointment and now the result came back..

Biopsy 1- BENIGN
Biopsy 2- CIN 1

The results popped up on my portal and I was so scared to look!! Been staring at my screen for almost an hour. Although I’m sad CIN 1 was present , I am incredibly relieved to have gotten this over with and hopefully it clears up in a year! 😭 I’m here if you guys need anything. My experience was very good with the overall appointment as they used LIDOCANE and I didn’t feel a thing!! OBGYN also instructed me to take papillex and I’m also taking prenatals. I’m just glad it’s over

Would I benefit from pelvic floor therapy?

Symptoms - persistent background burning in the vagina that’s constant throughout the day and gets better when sleeping. No pain during intercourse. All vaginitis tests negative. I just want to feel normal again. Do you think pelvic floor therapy will help me get my life back? The burning is non stop

Can Vulvodynia be extremely mild?

Hi everyone I’m trying to better understand my symptoms. I’ve had persistent vaginal burning for 2 months now. All tests negative. I believe this was caused by trauma from rough masterbation over time as embarrassing as that sounds. Symptoms started off severe for the first few weeks and now I’m left with a very mild persistent burning sensation. When I’m running I do feel a little irritation though. Sex isn’t painful and I can still wear thongs and tight clothing with no problem just minimal little itch or a slight irritation depending on what I’m doing. Doesn’t really get worse when sitting. Sometimes I feel no pain and then I get anxious and it starts burning again but not terrible however it’s still an annoying feeling that I just want it to go away and go back to feeling normal. Sometimes when I go up the stairs I feel like “a tampon is going to fall out of my vagina”. But my symptoms are pretty mild BUT persistent. Could this really be vulvodynia? I am still going to see a pelvic floor PT as my physician gave me a referral

Constant vulvar burning/itching triggered after rough foreplay + pelvic floor straining. Could this be a hypertonic pelvic floor?

Hi everyone,
I'm a bit scared and looking for insight from anyone who might have experienced something similar. I've been experiencing a constant, low-grade burning and itching sensation in my vulva/vaginal opening for about two months now, and I'm trying to figure out if I've triggered pelvic floor dysfunction or nerve irritation. Sorry TMI.
My husband and I have a great sex life, but my preference during foreplay is for heavy/rough internal manual stimulation (fingering), as it's how l orgasm. Over the last two years, I developed a specific habit right before climaxing: I would intentionally push my pelvic floor out (bearing down) forcefully against the resistance while he was fingering me. This would trigger an intense muscular spasm, leading to an orgasm. It felt good at the time and didn't cause pain for a long time.
Two months ago, right after an episode of this specific rough foreplay and bearing down, something shifted. I gradually developed a constant, mild burning and deep, dull itching sensation right at the vaginal opening.
It has not gone away since.
It feels deeply mechanical-the burning gets noticeably worse when I am walking or when I am sitting down for long periods.
There are no typical signs of an infection (no unusual discharde or odor) and over-the-counter topical treatments haven't touched the itch.
I am terrified that the repeated impact, combined with me forcefully straining my pelvic floor muscles under resistance, has either severely knotted my muscles or permanently damaged the nerves in my vulva (like developing vulvodynia).
Has anyone else caused a hypertonic pelvic floor or nerve entrapment/irritation from intense foreplay or bearing down too hard? If you've experienced this kind of persistent burning and postural itching, did pelvic floor physical therapy (PFPT) help you recover?
Any advice, reassurance, or next steps would be deeply appreciated. Thank you. 😞

Vaginal burning for 2 months

I’ve had persistent vaginal burning for 2 months now. Negative for yeast and BV. No pain during sex only sometimes a mild discomfort but not enough to stop. Gets better when sleeping and keeping my mind distracted. Worse when walking for long periods of time I can feel it itch or if I’m outside in the heat or if I’m anxious. What can this be?

Does this sound like vulvodynia or something else?

I’ve been experiencing burning in my vulva for a month now. My initial symptoms were pretty bad, felt like I had UTI but didn’t have one. The doctor thought I had a bacterial infection so they prescribe antibiotics and that didn’t work so then they prescribed yeast infection medication and that didn’t work. I would say my symptoms have improved as far as the UTI symptoms are no longer there for the most part but now I’m stuck with a mild lingering burning and stinging throughout the day. It doesn’t interfere with my daily activities because it’s not excruciating and it’s pretty tolerable. It’s just very annoying. Sex is not painful unless we go rough and there is friction on the right side of my labia minora. I examine myself in the mirror and I saw a little lump. I’m not really sure if it’s inflammation, but it’s raised, puffy and translucent near my labia minora and I did a q tip test and that is where the majority of the burning is coming from. Do I have vulvodynia?
