My Wife [30F] had her first migraine and has have a few since then, including today. Is this just her new life now?

Hello all,

My wife is currently having a migraine now. I give her whatever she wants and asks for; she is currently asleep thankfully. I am just trying to understand if this experience of getting cursed with migraines is typical. I have been reading that it may be typical because 1 in 4 women experience repeating migraines around their late 20s and 30s.

Her first migraine was triggered by walking out of a building and seeing the bright sky. She had an aura and had difficulty thinking & reading. Neither of us has experienced a migraine, so this was all new to us. I took her to the ER because I was genuinely spooked. The ER doctor who saw her referred her to a neurologist and mentioned that she may have a "complex headache", but googling since then I believe it is formally called "complex migraine"?

She has seen her general physician and the neurologist since the first migraine. No doctor believes this is anything serious. Regardless, she will have an MRI next week.

I suppose my question is to people who suffer this unfair problem: did you just get your first migraine and now all of a sudden you are living your life around them? I can tell this is making her a bit depressed and she feels guilty for "ruining my free time" (I don't care about my free time I just want her to feel good again). Is this something we will just have to learn how to live around?

What if we had a parallel economy to regulate necessary and luxury?

What if we had a parallel economic system within a country's economy. Imagine if instead of the $USD we had necessary dollars, $N , and luxury dollars, $L.

Careers that are essential, technical, and needed for a healthy society would receive their salaries in $N

Careers that are non essential, would receive payments in $L. For example, athletes, actors, musicians, casinos.

Items would be identified as necessary or luxurious. For example, whole foods would be priced in $N, and video games would be priced in $L

There would be a market exchange rate between $N and $L. If there are too many non essential peoples, it would incentivize people to improve the essential aspect of the economy. Meanwhile, if there are not enough luxurious people, the excessive essential economy would be a healthy platform to support luxurious ideas to prosper.

Another example, your first house is priced in $N but any additional house is priced in $L.

This was a shower thought I had but I needed a body text to explain.

I am new to Pokémon TCG. I am having a lot of fun on PTCGL. But how does this survive irl?

PTCGL, the program itself, does feel a little dated, but overall has been a good experience for a new player. I have been having a lot of fun actually playing pokemon, instead of looking at an empty shelf at the store.

However, I have a question about Pokémon TCG irl. How do people shuffle their deck so much? I swear I am shuffling my deck every turn at least. Is the majority of the player's time just shuffling their decks all the time? I cannot imagine playing my beedrill deck in a irl format.

If 50 blessings operated in 2016 instead of 1986

In an alternative universe, we have MiamiGO instead.
