Hello! I'm looking for an animated children's film/tv show that I caught a glimpse of on VHS when I was a child. I watched in the 2000s, but from what I remember it looked older, like 80s-90s anime.

It featured anthropomorphic animals (don't exactly remember, maybe cats or rabbits). The plot was about a race between two characters, they were supposed to deliver ice cream to their friends. It took place in a mountainous, rural region. Each of them had a pot of ice cream, one character went as fast as they could and the ice cream melted, the other took breaks to re-wet the cold towel that the pot was wrapped in and delivered the ice cream still frozen. The message was along the lines of 'slow and steady wins the race', but I can't remember whether it was the entire plot or just a minor plotline. The art style was pastel and cozy.

While searching, I came across shows Maple Town and Palm Town and they seem familiar, but I couldn't find a complete list of episode descriptions and I'm not sure whether an episode with that storyline exists.

I ruled out Adventures of the Little Koala.

I would highly appreciate any help.

Does anyone know if there was ever an episode where two characters had a race to deliver pots of ice cream to their friends?
