According to NarniaWeb, additional photography for The Magician's Nephew began this week at Shepperton Studios.
Principal photography wrapped back in January, so it'll be interesting to see what scenes they're returning to or adding.
What do you think they're filming?
Doesn't have to be the main character. I personally like the Jackdaw because of his part with the first joke.
New update! NarniaWeb reports that Greta Gerwig has screened an unfinished 2-hour cut of The Magician’s Nephew. While it’s far from the finished version, it’s another exciting milestone on the road to release.
What are you hoping to hear next: a teaser, first-look images, or more casting news?
Netflix is making one of its largest film investments yet with Greta Gerwig’s first Narnia adaptation!
According to two-time Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Seamus McGarvey, who served as Director of Photography on the film, The Magician’s Nephew is expected to carry a production budget of approximately $280 million.
If accurate, the figure would make Narnia the second most expensive Netflix film ever produced, trailing only The Electric State, which reportedly cost around $320 million.
While the budget is substantial, it is not unprecedented for the franchise. Disney and Walden Media’s The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was produced for $180M in 2005 and Prince Caspian had an even larger budget of $225M in 2008. Adjusted for inflation, those productions would each exceed $300 million in today’s dollars.
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew will debut with IMAX sneak previews on February 10th 2027, before expanding out to a wide theatrical release across all cinemas on February 12th.
For many people it was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but some started with The Magician’s Nephew.
Which Narnia book did you read first, and did it become your favourite?

I’ve always wondered how everyone pictures the Wood Between the Worlds. It’s one of the most unique places in the book, but I think everyone imagines it a little differently.
How do you picture it? And what are you hoping the movie gets right?
With the movie getting closer, I’ve been thinking about how they’ll adapt the book.
Personally, I’m really hoping they do the Wood Between the Worlds and Charn justice, since they’re such unique settings.
What scenes, characters or moments are you most excited (or nervous) about seeing on screen?

My favourite songs are:
- Carnival
-A thousand years
-Delusional
-Magic
In no particular order. I've known about him for a long time, but I decided to listen to more of his songs today, and wow. He has his distinct style, but he is also so good at emulating others.
I feel like every five songs I'm hearing it, and it's just such an annoying ad, honestly.
I put leer and got it wrong. Apparently it was supposed to be pintar. Duolingo sometimes forgets we’re not mind readers.
So I have had a few problems with some previous relationships I've had. When I was male, I was in a gay relationship with 13 year old (I was 14) and now that I'm female, I'm having problems picking up guys. I feel like they feel less attracted to me now than before when I would come over without a shirt tank top etc. I feel like my appeal has gotten a bit worse and I don't know how I should become more attractive. I honestly don't know what to do.
Last week I broke up with a guy I had been dating for two and a half weeks because he told me that I wasn't connecting to him on a deeper level enough. I don't know. I thought our relationship would last a bit longer than that. BUt also I think he found out that I was thinking about a poly relationship and maybe he didn't like that.
Any adivce would be so helpful thanks!
Can't wait to hear what you guys think of the fit ❤️❤️❤️
