Uber has been charging me for Uber One since April and only refunded July
I just found out Uber has been charging me for Uber One since April, even though I did not authorize or knowingly continue this subscription. When I contacted support, they only refunded me for July and refused to refund the earlier months.
That means I was charged for April, May, June, and July, but they only gave back one month. I don’t understand how they can acknowledge the issue enough to refund July, but then act like the other unauthorized charges are somehow valid.
Has anyone else dealt with this? What’s the best way to escalate it? Should I dispute the remaining charges with my bank, file a complaint with the CFPB/FTC, or keep pushing Uber support?
This feels shady, especially because subscription charges can sit there quietly unless you catch them.
