Hello. May nag approach saking guy from RCBC. Then he asked me if I have credit cards na and napa “yes” nalang ako bigla kahit wala pa. Then, inask niya about credit limit napasabi ako ng 50k kahit wala pa ako CC. Tapos he asked for my Name, Phone Number, Email, and where I work and 2 valid IDs. Is that okay lang ba? Thank you for answering.

Hello. Today, I received a call from someone claiming to be from BDO using this number: 09171229966. They asked me if I had applied for a BDO Credit Card, and I said yes.

After that, she asked for my address for the billing address, how long I had been staying at my current address, and whether I owned or rented the property, so I provided the information.

She then asked me if the BDO branch where I applied had a copy of my government ID. I said, “I just showed it to them.” She then asked if I had any valid ID with me, and I said yes. She asked what valid ID I had, and I said, “My PRC ID.” She then asked me to provide the last four digits of my PRC ID number, and I did.

Is it okay that I shared the last four digits of my PRC ID? I’m getting anxious after the call because I only realized afterward that it might have been a spam or scam call. I really hope it wasn’t. To add, I also tried calling them but it’s an operator

They said they would call me again if they had any additional questions.

I applied for a BDO Classic Visa Card on either July 28 or July 30 at one of their branches. After that, I didn’t receive any calls for about a week. However, today, they tried calling me several times starting around 1 PM using different numbers.

I also checked BDO’s official website, and these numbers are not listed among their official contact numbers. Could someone please confirm whether this is a legitimate BDO verification call or a possible scam?
