At home tria frx laser

4 weeks into using the tria frx at home laser. Have hypergimentation from using prescription strength retinol last year while being on a sun holiday/ derm also said it could be melasma.

Have been using azalaic acid also as I have rosacea so it works for both. Have stopped all form of retinoids

Will continue with the full cycle and hopefully won't have a rebound as I'm using azalaic acid which is tyrosinase inhibitor. Also factor 50! Everyday without fail as soon as I leave the house even on cloudy days.

Ordinary vs skinoren/ finacea

Have used triple combination of creams for my type 1 for years, metrogel, skinoren and soolantra.

Was finding the skinoren too harsh and damaging my barrier which in turn increased my redness and gave me ance like spots.

If anyone is in the same situation try a lower dose over the counter version. I switched to the ordinary and am having much better results.

Have also seen people recommending only applying the prescription versions every 2nd day which in theory should help.

Must be an age thing as I could use the skinoren in my 20s every day without issue.
