[US] School Week Primary?

Curious if anyone was able to get the court to adjust their alternating week visitation schedule to a school week primary schedule? If so, what moved the needle? My co-parent and I live 50-60 minutes apart and in separate school districts. I have tie breaking authority over education.

[US]Summer vacation week?!!

If your clause says each parent can have an uninterrupted week for summer vacation, can they take any part of it during your custody time? What does your decree say about this?

[GA] ROFR - when it DOES work

I know it’s an extremely popular opinion that ROFR is a PAIN and nobody seems to like it. This question is for those who have had a positive experience with it and truly do see its value. Ex and I share joint legal and physical custody, with alternating weeks, of our two year old. Due to his age, I want to ask that ROFR be added to our agreement at an upcoming mediation. I am a nurse (3/12’s) a week. Although I do have family to help during my custody week, I want our son to spend that time with his father if he’s available and wants that time with him. He does not share this same sentiment during his time. He also works 10+ hours a day during his custody week but refuses to offer me time with him over grandparent child care, when I’m available in between my shifts. I have no problem with grandparent care but he’s using it 75% of our son’s waking hours. I feel like this is the exceptions where it would be in his best interest to have ROFR due to his age. I know it’s hard to enforce but our schedules are transparent. My bottom line question is this, likelihood a judge agrees with this position? Would 8 hr trigger be appropriate to ask for and is it worth taking to court if he doesn’t agree in mediation? Chances I get it?

[US] What would a judge do?

Two parents share true joint legal and physical custody of their two year old, with every other week visitation since he was 8 months old. Has anyone ever had, or heard, of a judge ruling in favor of one parent’s motion to become primary parent and change visitation to EOW for the other parent? Strictly on the grounds of best interest of a two year old to have a more settled and consistent primary home? Assume both parents are good parents. If so, what factors would the judge look at to determine which home?

P.S. Would it make a difference if said parent was requesting a step up plan, back to alternating weeks when he’s older?
