This FAQ doesn't apply anymore after migration to Disney+ Global starting September 2026, as the Disney+ Global needs MyDisney account and the updated Subscriber Agreement in Southeast Asia already said about MyDisney now.
After South Africa on September 9, Egypt on September 2, and Indonesia on September 3, now Thailand will migrate from Hotstar X based Disney+ app to the international version of Disney+ app on September 16. Only Malaysia and Philippines are the remaining countries in Southeast Asia which have unconfirmed dates yet.

They're updating the Help Center interface with SEA (Indonesian, Malay, Thai) and MENA (Arabic and Hebrew) languages now in preparation for September 2026 relaunch.

They've just added notice in the Hotstar X-based app to notify that the app will migrate to the new app based from Disney+ Global on September 3 in Indonesia.
Indonesia is the next country to migrate from Hotstar X on September 3. They will bring same features in Disney+ International to Indonesia. Hopefully it's a positive move.
Disney+ Global started to add contents from Hotstar which is started in Singapore now. Weird because Hotstar still operated independently in Singapore.
Probably after the migration in Indonesia and Malaysia, they will bring Hotstar contents to Disney+ Global as well.
