I just picked up a pair of Anderson Bean boots second hand with crazy horse leather, very light colored. I lightly dampened the back panels to remove some water stains and it worked, but now the panels don't feel as buttery smooth as before and have a slightly rough texture.
Should I hit them with a very small amount of Bick 4 or Lexol 2 to restore the feel, or will conditioning permanently darken the crazy horse leather? It's a very light color so I'm hesitant. Anyone dealt with this?
