DOST-FNRI Application

Do they respond/give feedback to applications? I applied to multiple of their openings last April 😞, and never heard from them.

Gusto ko na po magkawork 😞

I am very lost and losing hope

I am a fresh grad (July 2025 grad). After grad, I immediately took my board exam (Nov), fortunately I passed. Started job hunting since January and unemployed pa rin until now. I had call backs naman, pero ayon lang hanggang initial interview lang, tapos yung iba is for face to face interview dapat but I was not able to attend since I am applying sa malayo (like 1 flight away) since nandon ang opportunities (wala kasing opening masyado dito sa province namin, though nag-aapply naman ako if may opening pero walang callback). I cannot leave my home province naman at hindi ako pinapakawalan ng mom ko without the assurance na magkaka-work ako agad.

Currently, I have a part time ol job 2hrs per day 150/hour, which is the same compared to when I do casual work here at govt office (8hrs) which is 300/day - provincial rate ☹️. The difference is that I cannot put this on my resume/pds as it is a side job. My parents are pushing me to apply to govt jobs here, but ayaw ko since sabi ko at least let me look for a job na related sa degree ko, then kapag wala talaga, mag-aapply ako sa any opening for entry level. I actually have an ongoing application na for a teaching job pero wala pang response, idk if this is making me anxious and making me feel more worthless than before (it is a job allotted for scholars of DOST -- I was a DOST scholar undergrad)

I was an average student in college. Did not build strong connections or networks. Natatakot ako na wala na talaga akong makuhang work.

How long did it take u to land your first job as an RND??

:< Nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa maging rnd in practice :< 2025 passer and until now wala pa ring work. Applied to many job posting but only got ghosted or dropped after interviews.

Walang opening sa province namin, and I only do online interviews tapos if ftf lang interview na allowed di ako makapunta kasi malayo nga. Although I plan to relocate naman if sure na I will get the job :< Hindi lang ako makaalis sa province namin since they expect na pag-alis ko ay may work na agad. Feel ko nagsasawa na sa akin yung mom ko and want na niya na mag-work ako (like kahit saan, basta may work na)

I really REALLY want to practice our profession and to learn more :< Hindi ko alam if my interview skills sucks or just I am asking for too much.

Please motivate me. Give me hope and tips. Kahit job dust tatanggapin ko pls ☹️

What am I doing wrong?

Hi. I am a June 2025 grad, honor grad, board passer. I've been applying since late Jan, and still unemployed. I am living in the province but most jobs I apply to are not in my area (since don ako nakakakita ng openings for my license). I adjust my resume based on job desc but sometimes I leave it be. Got called for initial interview multiple times pero yun na yon. I mean, I know I am quite bad at interviews. I have lutang and lito moments sa interview, but is always honest sa answers ko (online/ phone call interview lahat, since I am in the province nga). Idek if which part ako bumabagsak, is it that my expected salary is 18k-20k? Is it how I answer the basic qs like my strengths and weakness (which I typically align sa position)? Di ko na talaga alam. I know dapat di natin kino-compare yung sarili natin sa iba, but I feel left behind kasi may work na yung mga batchmates ko.

Gusto ko na ng work :<

edit: I am a nutritionist-dietitian and 18k-20k salary expectation is for private hospitals and other industries (gov't is sg11 for entry-level pero suntok sa buwan if walanh backer :<), there was a time in an initial interview where they asked if my salary expectation is negotiable (they were offering 16k :< considering that I will be relocating, it was a non negotiable for me)

Hi! I graduated last year, and a board passer. I've been applying since mid-January but unfortunately still unemployed. Kaso kaunti lang opening for my profession so here I am looking for a wfh job to start.

I can do admin tasks generally. Pls give me recommendations on how to start or agencies that accepts no experience/beginners in a wfh job set up.

TYIA!
