Was she trying to get with Penn Badgley when they were shooting her music video
I saw some clips from a podcast/interview they did together and I feel like she was trying to fawn on him and he was not having it. Anyone else see this?

The word you’re looking for is “uncanny.” Why are we adding “valley” all of a sudden? I feel like people repeat this after seeing it online without critically thinking about what they’re even trying to say. Am I just out of the loop on what this means/is referring to?
Had to get this off my chest in honor of Jhené’s new album—Ariana is completely creatively bankrupt, and this is just another notch in her belt for stealing smaller WOC artists' ideas and aesthetics (see Victoria Monet). I have no clue how she got away with ripping Jhené off completely with this imagery and title (which is from 2014), not to mention basing the entire ES album off a movie concept conceived by someone else. She has never had a single original thought (and will never have a shred of the creativity, personality, and passion Jhené has, since Ariana's so keen to compare herself to her exes' exes).
I used to want to be properly courted by a guy, but now I'm realizing it feels fake and puts pressure on physical intimacy when the connection isn't really even there yet. I would much rather develop a real friendship and rapport (over coffee, low-stakes hang-out dates, or seeing each other regularly at work/school/third spaces), and then let the flowers and dinners and intimacy (i.e. real investment) follow organically after a number of months if the connection is special. Anyone else feel the same way?
Edit I am not on the apps! Or expecting grand gestures/making things transactional—I am constantly offering to split or pay for dessert/coffee! Just seeing a more traditional guy i guess
This is something I've heard before and possibly experienced this year, so I want to get the community's thoughts, especially relating to the attractiveness of the woman and possible perceived attractiveness gap.
Ariana is my inspo to never get work done; I'd rather look like an older version of myself than a botched alien
Genuine question–I'm not a Black woman so I want to hear some thoughts from the community if this is a valid take.
I believe that the 'hate' Ariana gets for her behavior comes from a place of deep understanding. A lot of the worst things in her life, like her ED, relationships with men, and taking no accountability, stem from wanting others to think positively of her. This is something a lot of women like myself can relate to, and it's easy to follow her thought processes even if we haven't actually done the specific questionable things she has. I think people (myself at times) hate really hard on it not because they hate themselves, but because they've grown and learned from mistakes like these by taking responsibility instead of painting themselves as the victim. I think it's even more important as a public figure to set a good example by taking responsibility. The 'hate' comes from seeing with full clarity very human issues that are not only hurting people but also being sold to us as anyone's responsibility but hers. That is more egregious to me than any one thing she's done (except breaking up Ethan's family; I am having a very hard time believing that was appropriate in the slightest).
Both seem to really enjoy the aesthetic, and in Justin’s case, I think that’s what he always wanted to do with his career. Not sure it’s the same with Ariana, but I kind of got that vibe since she always has suggestions of R&B in most of her work. I k no ow both had black influences at one point in their careers; wondering why both dropped it on a dime. Wa sit for broader commercial appeal? I think Ariana’s overcorrecting currently in response tot eh blackfishing allegations; she’s even trying to make herself unnaturally pale which looks odd.
I actually could not believe my eyes when I saw these shoes: not only complete bastardization of pointe shoes but also just... cheugy and ugly? Not a fan of her ballerina aesthetic, which she appropriates without actually being a trained dancer to my knowledge. Just so inauthentic.
I also find a lot of her style to be cheugy, though that might be fit for another post. She needs to pry her fingers off the highlight and contour and figure out what actually will flatter her skin tone, features, and body shape (which would ideally in a healthy state). I find most of her looks to be very poorly executed.
Looking for a new spot to get coffee and work in the mornings, and also want to rant a little bit. Feel free to commiserate and give recommendations.
Ordered an avocado tartine this morning and one of the eggs was 95% raw. This has happened before. I tried to take it back, but the employee told me thats what a poached egg looks like (I am not so sure the egg white should also be runny). The tomato mozzarella flatbread is also consistently underbaked, and the baked treats are too sweet and don't taste particularly fresh. I've also heard that their coffee isn't the best.
I really like the ambiance and it's a nice place to do work before the library opens in the morning. Their products are just really lackluster and absolutely not worth the price. Any suggestions?
Fashion is subjective, but imo Charlotte's looks were clean, classy, very flattering, and consistent. Could also say the same about Sam's looks, though they were more flashy. Carrie and Miranda kind of fall flat for me consistency-wise (also because I prefer a clean and classic look).
