Do walls actually improve framerates?

So I've got a blueprint here, the same blueprint one with walls, one without walls. I think without walls being able to see inside it at all the stuff I built looks pretty cool, is there any performance boost to hiding the spaghetti that will make it worth hiding the awesomeness?

At the minute there's no performance hit, but if I had 1,000 blueprints like this dotted around in the late game then it might all add up, you know? If there isn't, or it's not worth it, I'll add supports and a roof to pretty it up a little without hiding the goodness inside.

This blueprint produces 2 heavy modular frames per minute once plumbed in with the resources it needs.

Finished the cave! (mostly)

I don't know who remembers, it was a while ago now, but I began paving through a cave on the map, and it's now (mostly) finished, I thought I'd upload a video and give you pioneers a tour!

I'd love to know what you all think, I only finished it because of the amazing reaction I got from everyone on the previous post, I'll post a link to this post on the previous post to link the two.

Thanks for your time if you decide to watch! Much love!

Giant Flying Manta Door

Title says it all, I built a factory and the Giant Flying Manta would clip through the wall and dragging me off to parts unknown, so I decided to make the big ol' goof his own Manta-flap door, minus the flap.. What do my fellow Pioneers think, also any advice on how to make it look better? Last picture is a different finish just to test out how it looks, I'm trying some things to see what looks best. HOPE YOU ENJOY! :D - forgot to mention, this entire tower produces either 10 or 12 reinforced modular frames. (I made it a few weeks ago and played something else for a bit).

Does anyone else do this?

I don't know why I'm doing this, it's taking so much time, and now I've started I don't want to stop until it's finished, I'm open to questions and accusations of madness, and suggestions on how to remove the blue cave bogey hanging from the ceiling.

It's ended up being a kind of liminal backrooms style nightmare zone, if you want more pictures or a video walkthrough of what I've done so far, or an update, let me know.
