Scribble v1.0 is here with the "Slow System" update! 🎉

Remember Scribble? The drawing app for Wear OS that respects the device dimensions and all. It finally happened, we have officially hit "the production" phase with its 1.0 release called "Slow System".

But man, what does this "Slow System" even represent?

I think it captures best how I perceive the apps growth and support for it. Certain level of quality just needs time, so I have built it to last, to scale and to be somewhat time resistant. Features will be coming if I ever feel like something is missing or if the community wishes for sth to appear. "Good things take time" or sth like that...

Due to crashes on Honor devices I refined the storage system and now it auto creates backup on your phone. You can still manually change folder location, but it became optional for the users convenience. Basically crash remade into one step less in the onboarding.

Also you may notice I do not have my leather band this time. It literally dissolved during the last heat wave going through Europe 🫠 and now I'm using fluororubber band. I feel like it blends quite nicely with OnePlus colors (red and black). Ngl it would be awesome to get myself new bands or even testing devices from the Play Store $$$ 😅

Thank you everyone for your help and feedback! If you like my work I highly encourage you to leave a review. It helps a lot. 😁

[DEV] Wear OS doesn't have an easy way to create shortcuts, so now we have Wear Activity Manager

The Issue: Wear OS does not allow users to create shortcuts in an easy way. There is no "launcher desktop," and navigating the original watch launcher is a pain.

The Solution: Let's add a custom shortcut system to our watches. Wear OS is Android, and Android has activities, intents, and all that good stuff. This app is designed to bridge the gap between power user activity usage and normal user shortcut needs (as you can, of course, just shortcut any regular app).

The Result: Wear Activity Manager. You now get custom tiles, custom complications, and shortcuts of many kinds everywhere.

- Want your favorite workout? 1 click.

- Want debug settings? 1 click.

- Want XYZ? 1 click.

No more menus needed. No more searching or scraping. All app management is within a single app now. You can get straight to clean app data, clear cache, apps system settings.

It's completely free with no ads as I feel like creating shortcuts of any kind and managing the devices software is users right to be efficient.

[RANT] Decent IDE become unusable mess cuz or idiotic decisions up top

So you are a tech giant that can basically do anything. Imagine having decent IDE forked from your competitor, you changed it a bit yourself, added bunch of shit, it's a fork so whatever your competitor does you can sync it and call it a day. Just keep improving your own work.
Then all of the sudden you decide to butcher it (without option to come back), call it 2.0, try to act cool like Cursor, but you have no idea what you are doing (unlike folks from Cursor). From idk like 1000 people responsible for it nobody had balls to say "bros, this sucks, we shouldn't do it"? xD
It's literally unusable.

  1. I can't revert changes made by AI within single window, I have to `git revert` it (???? XD) or deny the conversation parts (?)
  2. I tell it to not do sth -> it does and it apologizes to me all the time for overstepping ???
  3. I add directives -> ignores them
  4. I tell it to check OFFICIAL documentation via OFFICIAL skills from OFFICIAL channels -> doesn't do it, hallucinates instead.
  5. Actually decent Opus is hyperlimited and belongs to your other competitor -> people praise it as it works great even within your idiotic software.

Genuine question, who is it for? Like who is supposed to use Antigravity?
I don't even code much, but I HAVE TO be able to change the code AI writes, what is the purpose to tell the AI "change me single character within animation logic" just cuz I can't change it manually within (I won't call it IDE anymore) whatever the fck Antigravity is now? Burn more tokens? xD
This is not a single mishap case, this is not single chat issue. I feel like this is "start taking notes or die" moment.

ppl called M$ Microslop, but this is just hot, smoking pile of garbage - old diapers type.

[Update] WearSweeper - better scoreboard, 3BV for the user to see and DYNAMIC coloring

- Added a detailed Scoreboard overlay grouping game history by density and grid size;

- extracted 3BV (Bechtel's Board Value) logic and added "Remaining 3BV" tracking and 3BV/s calculation - switchable with APM in settings;

- implemented Dynamic Color (Material You) support and a new DYNAMIC theme and palette modes. It's due to user request. I can't make it work outside of emulator and need info if it works somewhere (looking at Samsung and Google watches)

What is planned in the future:

Since now the app has a decent statistics backend the natural next step feels like implementing statistics screens, beating scoreboards, user controlled notifications and progress graphs. This is not just an app, I'm aspiring to make it the most advanced Minesweeper even created. Brick by brick - so hand tight, relax and let me take your for a ride.

Devlog: The "Stupid Bird" Update How real-world usage forces design decisions

I use my apps daily. That's why I build them. Scribble was born to clear the mind and spark creativity through spatial restriction—giving you exactly what you need to create, and nothing more. (And yes, I use it for quick, messy notes too 😅).

But nothing exposes a design flaw faster than using your own app in the wild.

The Chicken vs. The Fill Tool

The breaking point happened while I was outside with my cat. She was staring at a chicken up close for the first time in her life—sheer curiosity. I immediately started to doodle the moment.

Then came the frustration. I needed to color in the chicken's beak, but the Fill Tool just wouldn't cooperate on those tiny gaps. I spent five minutes fighting the pixels before completely giving up.

The Fix

The problem was simple: the tool was a guessing game.

To fix it, I added a real-time preview that shows you exactly where the color will drop before you commit. No more guessing, no more pixel-hunting.

With the new precision preview live, I finally finished the drawing. Sometimes the best roadmap features don't come from a spreadsheet—they come from a standoff between a cat and a chicken.

This is the last feature update before release. Thank you everyone for support and feedback. 😊

[Tester Request] WearSweeper is landing soon on Wear OS—Claim it for Free Forever

Hey everyone,

A few weeks ago I shared my frustration with playing Minesweeper on a watch. The fat-finger problem was real—your own thumb blocks the very tile you're trying to analyze.

After some testing and community feedback, I wanted to share the logic I used to solve this. Instead of just "panning," I built the Navigator that uses distance and information density to predict where you want to go next.

I'm currently looking on apps feedback - colors, themes (there is AMOLED optimized done already), animations, behaviors, bugs etc. I'll take everything you got 😅

App is free to keep during testing period - there are still few days left, so please, let me treat you. 😊

Add to tests link

UPDATE: Yeah, it bugged. Old "sale" ended and another cannot be started unless month passes. I'll just send y'all (in the group ofc) codes then. Thanks for the catch!
UPDATE #2: PRS-RPCPM-18 error code happens when "testers" try to redeem code for paid app. (I can't believe Google sometimes, it's insane this company.) What will happen from my side then - as I can't resolve googles own internal errors - everyone added to google group will receive free promo code, from me, by email. Even if you already have access you'll get the code - share it, redeem it, or forget it, anyway you'll get WearSweeper as my appreciation token. 💖

[Testers wanted] True minesweeper game is about to land on Wear OS

I always admired Minesweeper, but every Wear OS version I tried felt wrong. The tiles were tiny, my finger covered half the screen and it was not the experience I knew from the PC. It bugged me that something so simple still wasn’t actually playable on a watch.

So I built my own - WearSweeper:

- zoomable grid that you can pan instantly;

- Navigator that reads the board and snaps you straight to the next logical move;

- logical boards so no more 50/50 guesses;

- fully customizable boards;

- AMOLED‑friendly themes;

- save system so you can pop in and out without losing progress.

If you’ve also been wishing Minesweeper actually worked on a watch, this might scratch that itch.

Tests will grant you full access to the game, for free ofc. 😁And my eternal gratitude if that's what you're after.. 😅

Still looking Fresh (GW4)

Looking at my GW4 Classic today and I just can’t get over how well this design has aged.

Sometimes I look at the current market and really miss the variety we used to see—the old Galaxy watches were amazing, and the Fossil designs with them. I honestly still resent that Fossil didn't get the support it deserved before they left the market. While the new smartwatch designs we see now are certainly bold, I find myself still deeply appreciating something more "Classic." There’s just something about a tactile rotating bezel and physical knobs that feels so much more intentional than a smooth piece of glass. I really hope that someday we see more brands coming back to this style of modernization, where the hardware actually feels mechanical and premium.

What you see on watch is my game WearSweeper. I spent a lot of time optimizing it to run flawlessly even on the GW4 hardware, and when you pair this legendary device with some modern, expressive colors, it really proves you don't need the latest model to have a state-of-the-art experience. Even the white strap has stayed surprisingly clean despite my initial concerns!

Is it just me or anyone else still holding out for more "Classic" designs just cuz of physical controls?

Hey everyone! 👋

Remember me? The guy who makes Scribble - draw on your watch.

I built WearSweeper to fix the "fat finger" problem on smartwatches. It looks clean as hell and plays fast thanks to a smart TileNavigator system I created -> snaps to your next optimal move automatically.

- 100x100 Grids: Play tiny or massive boards on your wrist.

- No Guesses: Guaranteed logic-based boards.

- M3 Design: 6 dynamic themes & OLED optimization.

- 3BV Scoring: Professional skill tracking.

Does the auto-navigation feel right to you? Also, would you like to see a "classic" Win95 skin?

I can't post video on this sub so link has to to 😅

I will be needing testers soon tho, so please leave a comment if you're interested, I really appreciate it 😊

So you haven't heard from me in a moment.

Damn it was a ride. Scribble, remember? I'm still working on it. Newest update is here and I'm starving for user feedback! I present you the mischievous v0.9.7j called `Solid Foundation`.

I’m working day and night to make Scribble perfect.

The Big Fix: I rebuilt the database so consider the "final boss" defeated. 👾

Support: Added ads and a one-time purchase to help me keep building.BUT I want to keep Scribble affordable so full app is 3$ and no ads is just 1$. 🙏

What’s Next: Korean and Español support is my top priority for the full release!

With that said, I have yet to test generating premium codes and share them so I'll be needing some testers, let's start with... 20? 😅
