I made this cover recently and can't quite point my finger on what genre it fits best (It's not for a novel I wrote, it's a premade I was playing around with and intend to sell). Maybe thriller or horror romance? What do other people get from seeing it?

Illustration commissions start at $40+ for a simple bust and increase depending on complexity (how many characters, background, full body vs only bust etc)

I have no idea how to market it before releasing and I'm afraid of publishing it any time soon since I have zero pre-release engagement.
I have a TikTok and Instagram dedicated to promoting my writing but nothing has yielded any engaged following yet.
Where do you find ARC readers that will leave reviews? And how does it work to get reviews before it's available to the public? I saw that helps boost it in algorithms, but unsure how the whole process works. I will also do more research but wanted to know where people find those readers to begin with
I've completed a contemporary poetry & art collection and need beta readers who can give general input.
It's a fairly quick read with lots of back and forth of different mediums and visuals. Very non-traditional and experimental.
Exploring themes of death, romance, depression, derealization, some mentions of violence, and hope.

Starting with: I do not have experience with cover design specifically.
But I want to try my hand at book cover design and need to build a portfolio and practice some. Instead of "wasting" time coming up with sample covers that won't be used, I'd rather make one for a real book for free! (And get actual feedback!)
