The Babylonian Vampire — Ishtar

And when Tiamat was slain by mortal men, she cast her curse upon them:

“Woe unto thee, and unto thy kin, and the kin born after;
for upon mankind shall they descend, though you’ll know not.”

Liesl originally hailed from the Babylonian age, when vampires walked the earth and mankind mistook them for their deities. In Liesl’s case, she was Ishtar and in her name blood was sacrificed in exchange for a bountiful harvest. When mankind revolted against them, history would remember her as the Whore of Babylon
