Moral of the Story

Sweet are the beginnings, bitter is the end.

The patient the only, endure and mend.

Parting ways, the heart one must tend.

Honour and strength, the message to send.

Kindness to the worthy, one must lend.

Offence to spirit, off one must fend.

Resolve the target, that can never bend.

Forever stand tall, beauty they cannot rend.

[MxF] [M4F] Searching for a long-term partner

Hello!

I find myself able to add one or two more RPs to my commitment, and thus, I am currently searching for an RP partner to collaborate and produce engaging and immersive storylines. I have roughly 10 years of experience in writing and hosting D&D campaigns. Normally, my responses involve multiple paragraphs, but I also adapt to the responses of the people I engage with. For clarification, my responses could range from 1 paragraph to roughly 500-1000 words; as mentioned, I can adjust to the responses of the other party. Though I use the third person and past tenses form exclusively.

I enjoy engaging with people of various rhetorical and literary levels, as I receive varied and great insight and input into my writing, and I greatly benefit from such feedback. And I will not be astringent and pedantic about response length, as I understand that it may be difficult to maintain a certain length for a time period - since it may lead to repetition - especially in dialogue or combat. Thankfully, I am able to reply quickly and regularly. If there issues with my schedule, you can expect - at the minimum - one reply per day. My time zone is EST.

What I will definitely search for is communication. It is quite rude to show interest, or discuss ideas, only to leave the person without even stating that. If my writing style does not match your expectations or preferences, then simply state so before leaving. As such, if I do not receive any form of correspondence from you after 7 days, I will consider you officially departed from the project. I understand that life has its own demands, and all I ask is for you to communicate that. If you would like extra time, you will be accommodated. If you simply want a time where we talk and casually chat, I would be more than happy to listen and engage. Simply communicate with me. With that in mind, I am more than happy to spend time talking discussing the progress of the RP (OOC) or topics beyond the RP itself (such as games). And if anyone is interested in organizing game nights, I would be delighted to join!

For genres, I tend to enjoy and diversify into multiple genres - romance, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, mystery, contemporary fiction, slice-of-life - or sometimes combine a few together. The genre will be set based on the plot and premise concocted by us. If you have your own ideas, I would be more than happy to listen to them and build upon. Please note that - for those interested in romance and beyond - not every story will flow in the direction you wish for. It is quite engaging when you encounter challenges and adapt to them accordingly. This recruitment is meant for long-term commitments and stories. If you are interested in the ideas I have in mind - which we can discuss and modify as necessary - they are listed below:

- Time of Lemegeton: The six seals of the end times have been destroyed by war that ravaged both sides, angel and demon alike. Fearing the advent of the apocalypse - and destruction of the seventh seal - certain influential tribes of angelic and demonic hierarchies decide to sign an armistice, to be cemented by a diplomatic marriage. The plot will revolve around the biases and prejudices of both sides, as well as those that are vehemently opposing the notion. The setting could be antiquity, medieval, contemporary or even post-apocalyptic/dystopian. The seventh seal could have broken also, and the union is an attempt to help the world rebuild. This story could also be adapted to factor in other supernatural beings, such as vampires, lycans, et cetera.

- Double Edge: An heir to a greater noble is assigned a guard - a commoner. That is due to a recent revolt against the house, whose main perpetrator is still unknown. The plot revolves around the interactions between the heir and the guard, and how their different backgrounds and experiences could influence each other. Perhaps the guard was sent by the perpetrator of the revolt as means of spying on the greater noble. I have a surprising twist for this storyline, which you may find interesting.

- The Lugal-anki: The annunaki have granted their followers with a gift of physiological change. That ability allowed them to manipulate various elements and abilities - for defending against an ancient evil. When these enhanced individuals dispersed and procreated, they spread those abilities to generations of the future - this led to the rise of the superhero phenomenon. Characters could be a pair of superheroes, a superhero and a supervillain, a human with a superhero, a human with supervillain, et cetera. The story will also explore the new illegal drug - V - that enhances the powers of the gifted individuals greatly, at great risk.

- Perception and Perspective: An heir to the throne of a militaristic nation is sent to wed an heir to a lesser noble of an unified, warring nation, in an attempt to secure allegiance during the unification. The different cultures, backgrounds and disciplines create friction between the two characters, especially considering the ongoing civil war.

- Friends Indeed: Two best friends inevitably separate after high school to tackle their own studies at university. They both return during the winter holidays for their respective familial reunions, only to discover that their families combined their reunions as a surprise. Perhaps hidden feelings will surface, or perhaps the friendship is more important than the unsung feelings.

- No Asking Why: The daughter of a don is almost killed in an attempt on her life - by a rival don. As a result, the daughter's father hires an enforcer to look out for his daughter, a challenge she disdains greatly. The story will explore the dynamic between the two lives, two backgrounds and two personalities.

- Vae Victus: The kingdom, in its expansive efforts, conquered the council of magi for ultimate power. The monarch brings forth the strongest of the magi to serve as their own advisor. The tension brews between the two, due to the warring history but also due to differing ideologies.

- Game of War: A conflict between two heirs to the throne erupts, with illegitimate heir eventually starting a civil war for the crown. The latter resorts to assassination, in hopes of swaying the war into his favour, and hires an assassination guild.

- What Lies Hidden: A sailor finds themselves accidently sailing into the Bermuda Triangle - or another similar counterpart - only to discover that the king of demons has erected a kingdom within the nebulous sector. Navigating through the uncharted, harsh lands, the sailor seeks to survive, and possibly escape. I feel this premise also provides multiple options, depending on the characters involved in the story.

- Beating My Heart: Two doctors, working in the same hospital, despise each other. Whether it is because of competition over the position of the head of the department, or because of their clashing personalities, the two never mingle well. Until an act of kindness changes how both view and understand one another.

- Law and Chaos: A police officer has been chasing a criminal for some time. The criminal always manages to evade capture, yet the dynamic between the two has turned from formality to flirtation. Which one will influence or corrupt the other?

- The Serpent Cometh: A pirate is hired by a lord to kidnap the heir to the house of his rival, in an attempt to weaken him. Though the pirate was successful, tensions flare as the two become acquainted with one another.

- Abyssal Truth: Each planet in the star system is ruled by an enigmatic, alien ruler - though they do not match any known race. And humans have been exiled from their home planet, though none knows or even remembers why. The story revolves around a mercenary smuggling cargo into a particular planet. A twist that can be added to the story would be that, the cargo is actually a human being - and for that particular planet, humans are forbidden from entry.

Before I forget, I enjoy world building greatly! If you would like to build an entire world, alongside its lore, I would deeply enjoy such an endeavour. And if you would like assistance with your own world, I would be happy to participate!

I would like to conclude that I enjoy stories when I am in good company. If you are interested in discussing matters further, and if you have your own ideas to discuss, please message me directly!

Take care!

Post Scriptum: I have a writing sample based on the first idea that I can provide privately, if required.

EDIT: "Searching for a long-term RP partner

EDIT: That is the title to my post, as I forgot to post it initially! And I cannot find an option to edit titles!

Hello!

I am thankful for the people I am currently engaged in storylines with, save for one. Unfortunately, that person abandoned the RP, without communication or discussion - which is highly rude and disrespectful.

To compensate for that loss, I am currently searching for an RP partner to collaborate and produce engaging and immersive storylines. I have roughly 10 years of experience in writing and hosting D&D campaigns. Normally, my responses involve multiple paragraphs, but I also adapt to the responses of the people I engage with. Though I use the third person form exclusively.

I enjoy engaging with people of various rhetorical and literary levels, as I receive varied and great insight and input into my writing, and I greatly benefit from such feedback. If my writing style does not match your expectations or preferences, then simply state so before leaving. As such, if I do not receive a response from you after 3 days, I will consider you officially departed from the project. If you are interested in the ideas I have in mind - which we can discuss and modify as necessary - they are listed below:

- Time of Logos: The six seals of the end times have been destroyed by war that ravaged both sides, angel and demon alike. Fearing the advent of the apocalypse - and destruction of the seventh seal - certain influential tribes of angelic and demonic hierarchies decide to sign an armistice, to be cemented by a diplomatic marriage. Perhaps the guard was sent by the perpetrator of the revolt as means of spying on the greater noble. I have a surprising twist for this storyline, which you may find interesting.

- The Powers That Be: In a world brimming with superheroes and supervillains, the ordinary strive to survive. I feel this premise has multiple opportunities, as the characters could be a superhero hunting a supervillain, an ordinary human hunting a supervillain, or an ordinary human escaping a superhero - as examples.

- Two Worlds: An heir to the throne of a militaristic nation is sent to wed an heir to a lesser noble of an unified, warring nation, in an attempt to secure allegiance during the unification. The different cultures, backgrounds and disciplines create friction between the two characters, especially considering the ongoing civil war.

Scars of Triumph

Harsh indeed, lessons of the past.

Shadows of gloom, do they cast.

Downed the spirit, downed the resolve.

Weakness grips, will failed to absolve.

Eyelids grow heavy, lying in defeat.

Darkness cometh, no will to retreat.

But the morals sink, experience gained.

Strength is brewing, no longer chained.

To rise above, the challenges of life.

One must encounter, joy and strife.

Failed to relent then, fail to relent now.

Faced all obstacles, head refused to bow.

Renewed determination, beacon of light.

Kindness and forgiveness, a show of might.

Beauty stems, always from the heart.

Wounds shalt heal, spirit never apart.

Fantasy of Sovereignty

The king the king, reigns with power.

One from enmity, he does not cower.

The king the king, offends and defends.

Strict but kind, he protects and mends.

The king the king, guards with his life.

Selfless and just, in both joy and strife.

The king the king, with sword and shield.

Crown of honour, lineage will never yield.

The king the king, queen he adores.

In fields of battle, the lion he roars.

The king the king, his comfort behind all.

Diligence of throne, the nation stands tall.

A Knight Eternal

A knight, a knight, one stands tall.

A knight, a knight, shall heed the call.

A knight, a knight, loyal to the end.

A knight, a knight, sword that shall bend.

A knight, a knight, justice at heart.

A knight, a knight, compassion never apart.

A knight, a knight, harshness in battle.

A knight, a knight, lion amidst the cattle.

A knight, a knight, forever more.

A knight, a knight, true to the core.

Dry and dry, thy eyes my dear.

Dry and dry, till the vision runs clear.

Dry and dry, for a drop of tear.

Dry and dry, stems from fear.

Dry and dry, the pain is lear.

Dry and dry, the past lies rear.

Dry and dry, should the paths veer.

Dry and dry, the heart remains sincere.

My Oath and Vow

In my arms, I have taken.

In my arms, never forsaken.

In my arms, I provide and defend.

In my arms, I heal and mend.

In my arms, comfort and retreat.

In my arms, love ever sweet.

In my arms, married will be thou.

In my arms, my oath and vow.

In my arms, off thou cannot be pried.

In my arms, in pain thy eyes have cried.

In my arms, I accept and love.

In my arms, beyond and above.

In my arms, thy eyes have wept.

In my arms, we cuddled and slept.

In my arms, forever thou laid.

In my arms, love does not fade.

In my arms, mended is thy heart.

In my arms, never are we apart.

Of Oath and Testament

What is a man, but of his actions the sum?

Of them aware, neither oblivious nor dumb.

Honourable, respectful; chivalrous and noble.

Understanding and patient, brave and mobile.

Honesty even when, his life is the cost.

Otherwise righteousness, forever lost.

Courageous to act, courageous to defend.

Fears nothing but, hearts that do not mend.

Admits victory, and admits defeat.

From his mistakes, does not retreat.

Initiative his own, he speaks not but acts.

Once spoken his words, he never retracts.

Art thou worthy, of the label of man?

Or art thou of the fantasy, merely a fan?

Tempest of Roses

An inspiration, for many and all.

To improve, change and stand tall.

Impact felt, changed has life.

Joy replaced, that which is strife.

A tempest of, dire changes.

Rescue from, filthy ranges.

Danger identified, flags of red.

Away from those, my heart for bled.

Continued to change, to improve.

Façade of flowers, bid to remove.

Support for me, rising in strength.

Adoration for me, long as length.

As thy husband, chosen I was.

To protect, my purpose and cause.

The most beautiful, flower of a garden.

Petals of red, my heart cannot harden.

Sleep forever, in my arms sleep.

Marriage is risk, marriage is a leap.

To thou my love, oh beautiful rose.

To thou my love, the tear flows.

To thou my love, oh beautiful rose.

To thou my love, the tear flows.

Worth of Eternity

I love you, near or away.

I love you, every single day.

I love you, the role is known.

I love you, materialism blown.

I love you, in sadness and joy.

I love you, heart without ploy.

I love you, intention sincere.

I love you, my worries clear.

I love you, known is the truth.

I love you, shelter ever couth.

I love you, my comfort for you.

I love you, my protection too.

I love you, thy laughter ever sweet.

I love you, to my ears ever the treat.

I love you, entrancing eyes.

I love you, words without lies.

I love you, thy support unforgotten.

I love you, my gratitude has begotten.

I love you, joy fills my heart.

I love you, thou of it a part.

I love you, in joy and strife.

I love you, my love, my life.

I love you, though we are apart.

I love you, our love is in the heart.

I love you, through thick and thin.

I love you, even with fault and sin.

I love you, mercy and compassion.

I love you, in marriage the fashion.

I love you, am I worthy of thee?

I love you, my wife will you be?

The Concept of Rubedo

Bonds broken, bridges burn. Lost it all, never to return.

Enjoy now, regret comes late. Tears abundant, of self hate.

Decision done, choices made. Tears of blood, smiles then fade.
