Vandaag eindelijk eens werk gemaakt van mijn bulk sorteren en alle kaartjes van mijn favoriete artist eruit te filteren zodat ik deze samen in een binder kan steken. Oorspronkelijk wou ik mij op 1 artist focussen maar ik kon niet kiezen want er zijn zo veel artists met een toffe/unieke/schattige stijl die mij aanspreekt.

Uiteindelijk heb ik het toch kunnen beperken tot 'maar' 5 artists: Yuka Morii, Asako Ito, Shibuzoh, Sowsow en Saya Tsuruta.

Welke artists verzamelen jullie? En probeer je echt een master set te maken of doe je het meer casual? Ik heb zeker geen ambitie om elke kaart van deze artist te verzamelen, maar als ik er eentje zelf pull is het wel altijd extra leuk.

Ik heb ook een deel dubbele (vooral van Yuka Morii) dus als iemand anders hier kaarten van deze artists verzamelt, mag je me altijd een DM sturen en misschien kunnen we ook ruilen om onze collecties aan te vullen. :)

I posted the bubble Eevee card before and now the whole set is complete. I'm super happy with how these turned out. My favorite Eeveelution is Sylveon, but I really like how the Flareon turned out with her super fluffy tail.

These look really cute together in a binder as well.

All cards are 100% hand-drawn using both traditional and digital media. They are printed on thick printer paper and cut out by hand. I applied a holofoil sticker on top of them prior to cutting them out. They are then pasted onto energy or trainer cards so they have the normal card back. Since they are cut out by hand, the corners are not always 100% perfect.

The bubble Eevee and Eevee/Sylveon V are colored digitally while the Cinccino and Bulbasaur illustrations were colored traditionally with copic markers. I don't have a professional scanner and an inkjet printer rather than a laser one so it can be tricky to preserve the colors and contrast of the original copic illustrations. The Cinccino one turned out alright because it has more light colors but the Bulbasaur one I'm not too sure if it looks good enough to be sold. ;; For some reason whenever I print it, the colors become much darker than the scanned illustration.

The composition and poses are referenced by existing card art or other official art of the Pokemon. The Cinccino and Bulbasaur ones are based on Pocket TCG cards.

Ik ben de laatste tijd echt weer helemaal in een creatieve mood en custom kaartjes maken is één van mijn favoriete manieren om met de hobby bezig te zijn zonder al te veel geld uit te geven. Natuurlijk kosten de materialen ook wel geld, maar copic markers had ik sowieso al en een holo sticker sheets heb ik van AliExpress dus dat was nog geen 10 euro voor 30 vellen (10 van elke variant)

De illustraties op de kaartjes heb ik allemaal zelf getekend. Ik schets meestal op papier en scan mijn schetsen in zodat ik de lineart digitaal kan maken. De Bubble Eevee en de V kaarten heb ik digitaal ingekleurd, maar de Cinccino (gebaseerd op de Pocket TCG Cinccino Full Art van Shibuzoh) heb ik afgeprint en ingekleurd met copic markers. De volledige illustraties en een video (reel) van de kaartjes staan ook op mijn Instagram.

Tot nu toe maakte ik simpele kaartjes met chibi versies van Kanto Pokemon (ingekleurd met copics) maar de holo stickervellen maken alles veel mooier. Ik heb ook voor het eerst de illustraties op een energy of trainer kaart geplakt zodat de achterkant hetzelfde is als een echte kaart. De kaart is ook een stuk dikker en steviger op deze manier. Alles is wel met de hand uitgeknipt voorlopig dus soms zie je wel een klein wit randje maar dit is enkel aan de achterkant zichtbaar - eens je ze in een binder stopt, merk je er helemaal niks van.

I don't have Mavuika who seems to be really good for the watcher since she can work with another Natlan DPS like Mualani, Kinich or Varesa. No Skirk or Neuvi either to try that combo.

My goal is to beat Fearless. I'm not interested in Dire. :P

Looking at the other bosses, I will probably use a Varka team against the Wolf (going to pull Nicole as well) and against the Tulpa I can go Gaming, Flins or Zibai team. Last time I beat it with an Alhaitham / Nahida team but it took me SO many attempts, I would like to avoid going through that struggle again lol.

Een tijdje geleden een Koreaanse BB van Terastal Festival EX gekocht en vandaag eindelijk geopend. Mijn favoriete Eeveelution is Sylveon maar die SAR heb ik al (gekocht op een beurs voor 60) dus dit was nu eigenlijk mijn grootste chase van de set (behalve een God Pack, uiteraard :P)

Zelfs in het Koreaans gaat deze al snel voor 200 euro dus dat bespaart me heel wat als ik de volledige set wil verzamelen in het Koreaans. Ik heb nog geen prijzen opgezocht, maar ik ben redelijk zeker dat de andere Eeveelutions goed meevallen in het Koreaans om als singles te kopen. Ik heb de Jolteon al eens voor 40 zien liggen in het Japans en Koreaans is meestal nog eens de helft (of meer) goedkoper.

Super tevreden met het voorlopig resultaat van mijn Kanto binder! Vandaag de laatste pick-ups gedaan op een beurs in Roeselare. Voor de beurs miste ik nog Venusaur, Pidgeot, Geodude, Kingler, Kabutops, Aerodactly en Dragonite. Kabutops was het moeilijkst om te vinden.

De volgende stap is mega evolutions en gigantamax vormen van de Kanto Pokemon. Momenteel heb ik enkel Mega Vensusaur, beide Mega Charizards, Mega Kangaskhan en Mega Dragonite. Ik denk dat de meer obscure Gigantamax forms zoals Gigantamax Machamp en Kingler ook lastig zullen zijn om te vinden. Ik vind dit ook niet bepaald 'mooie' Pokemon dus ik zou er liefst ook niet te veel geld aan uitgeven.

Stickers op de voor- en achterkant alsook de Pikachu + Eevee op de binnenkant zijn zelf getekend en afgeprint op sticker papier.
