How do you survive the dates that used to mean something?

Got ghosted a month ago, then found out she's dating another guy. Not a single word of closure - she just disappeared.

Tomorrow would have been our one-year anniversary, and I feel like absolute sh_t.

I want to text her so badly, but I know it would probably just hurt me even more. I really don't know how to move on. I've never felt this lonely and hopeless.

Cheated on and ghosted after a 10-month relationship

I've been in a long-distance relationship with this girl for about 10 months. Despite the distance, everything seemed to be going well. We used to talk every day and managed to see each other several times.

Around the end of May, I started noticing that her replies were getting slower and less frequent. She told me she was overwhelmed with work, and I had no reason not to trust her. During June, things gradually got worse. She was still very busy with work and had family visiting, and at some point it became normal for her to take one or two days to reply.

By early July, I had decided I needed to talk to her and ask what was going on between us. Then one of her close friends suddenly died in a bike accident. She completely shut down for about two weeks, which I obviously understood and respected. I gave her space and didn't want to put any additional pressure on her while she was grieving.

Eventually she messaged me again, telling me she'd just been through one of the hardest periods of her life, but that she was starting to feel better and was about to begin a project for an art residency in Sicily, where she currently is.

Ten days ago, I replied and finally told her that I felt something had changed between us and that I needed some clarity about our relationship. I tried to be as understanding and non-accusatory as possible, and basically told her that whatever she was feeling, I'd rather hear the truth than be left wondering.

She never replied.

Yesterday, I found out she's been seeing another guy since around the end of May — basically the same time her replies started becoming slower and she began telling me how overwhelmed she was with work.

I feel absolutely crushed. The cheating itself hurts, obviously, but what I can't wrap my head around is the fact that she let me spend almost three months wondering what was happening, worrying about her, trying to be understanding, giving her space, and blaming myself for the growing distance, when apparently she already knew what was going on.

I honestly don't know what to do now. Part of me wants to send her one final message telling her that I know, and how deeply hurtful and humiliating the way she handled this has been. Another part of me thinks I should just block her everywhere, say nothing, and disappear from her life completely. Another one tells me not to do anything, just let things be and ignore them.

For those of you who've been through something similar: did sending a final message give you any sense of closure, or did it just make things worse? Would you say something, or just walk away?
