Chain link fence for pool-enclosure

Hey everyone,

My mom and I are looking to build a black-finished chain link fence, 5ft high, gate with self closing latch, to enclose a 14ft round pool next spring.

I need to ask for some advice on materials needed and tips and tricks for making this as smooth as possible. Never did I think I would be here asking advice on building a fence, but my dad who is the jack of all trades handyman is waiting for a liver transplant and my mom and I are taking this on just the two of us, albeit nervous.

We are applying for a pool enclosure permit and I need to submit drawings (luckily I can do this myself) of the property and proposed pool/ pool enclosure.

Thank you!

Funding received estimate

Hi everyone!

I don’t get to pick my schedule August 26th and I have an estimate of September 8th-12th.

Should I expect to receive it sooner or even past the estimate?

I am attending Niagara college

Appealing by-law notice

Hi everyone,

I am the daughter of the homeowners that received this notice for a pool being erected.

We have an easy set pool and it holds a maximum 24 inches of water (stated in the manufacture booklet.) According to the city by-laws any pool capable holding over 24in of water needs a fence and that fence needs a permit given by the city- our pool does not have the capability of holding over 24 inches of water.

We’re also concerned how this decision was made as we were not home at the time and no one had access to our backyard which was confirmed by our neighbour and also security cameras.

Just wondering what we should be doing and what our next steps should look like.

Thank you!
