My recreation of the angry whopper!

I recreated as close as I could, and as close and I could remember the taste of, the angry whopper! Here's the recipe for the angry sauce and the sandwich prep:

Order one whopper, add an extra serving size of bacon, add reg serving of jalapenos, and add onion rings. Delete the onion, pickle, and ketchup.

I bought a bottle of Guy Fieri Top Secret sauce and a bottle of Panda Express sweet chili sauce from Walmart. You'll also need to get brown sugar, cayenne pepper powder, and slices of pepper jack cheese.

In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the Top Secret sauce with 1/2 cup of the Sweet chili sauce. Mix well. Then add to that 1 and a half tablespoons of the brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of the cayenne pepper powder. Whisk all of that together in a bowl for a min or so. Whisk it very well. My brown sugar was kind of clumpy coming out of the bag so I mashed it well to break it up before I started whisking the whole thing. Just a note in case anyone else runs into that.

Then place that bowl in the fridge for about 10-15 mins to chill it.

Before adding the sauce, I took the patty off of the whopper and put a slice of pepper jack cheese on it, then put the cheese and patty under the broiler just to get the cheese warmed up and slightly melted. Then add the angry sauce mixture to the top of the cheese, and reassemble the whole burger.

And enjoy! I thought it was really good. Very close to the OG angry sauce from what I remember in terms of the orange appearance, and the bit of heat and savoriness. Very nostalgic for me.

As a side note, you could do fried onion pieces like the original angry whopper had, but honestly adding their onion rings to the whopper made it feel close enough for me

My thoughts on the tajin line up

I tried the tajin taco, the tajin CGC, and the tajin freeze.

The tajin taco was really good. The shell was fragile, like the Doritos locos taco shells. But the chili and lime flavor was pretty front and center for me which was good. Idk why chili and lime go together so well, I just love it. The salsa on top was a good refreshing way to kinda round out and balance the whole package.

The tajin CGC was good too. I didn't really taste any of the tajin on the inner hard shell itself due to, imo, the spicy ranch and the outer doughy tortilla kinda masking it. Adding some dashes of the tajin packet to each bite definitely helped that. Of course the salsa on top was good again here. But I feel like maybe if they offered a tajin soft torilla or something, that would give it more of a boost and not let the other ingredients distract away from it. Just my thoughts.

The freeze was pretty good too. Nice and sweet. I don't think I really tasted much, if any, tajin here, even after giving it some good stirs. Maybe I tasted like a tiny savory hint of it? Can't really tell tbh, but still not a bad freeze.

Over all I liked these items. But I'm already a big fan of tajin and chili lime flavors in general so that probably helped boost my opinion of it haha
