Mid 20s Experience 🌋

Wanna share a milestone in my life. I finally landed my first job, and I'm so happy that I just experienced my very first solo travel using the money I earned myself!

Bicol was my first destination because ever since I was in kindergarten, I’ve always wondered just how big Mayon Volcano really is. Even though I was scared at first because the place was entirely new to me, I’m so thankful because the locals were incredibly welcoming.

Overall, I'm just really happy to have experienced all of this on my first solo trip. Hopefully, there will be more travels in the near future!

Best place to stay for 3 nights as a solo traveler?

Hello po!

I'm planning my first solo trip to Siquijor and will be staying for 4 days this August. I'd love to get some accommodation recommendations from people who've been there.

Eto po mga hinahanap ko:

  • Safe for solo travelers
  • Good location for exploring the island
  • Close to cafés, restaurants, or the beach
  • Clean room with reliable Wi-Fi
  • Budget is flexible, but I prefer places with good value for money (range lang po sana in between 1k to 2k max per night po)
  • Bonus if it's easy to meet fellow travelers, though I also enjoy a quiet atmosphere

I'm considering hostels, guesthouses, boutique hotels, or budget-friendly resorts.

For those who've stayed in Siquijor:

  • Where did you stay?
  • How much did you pay per night?
  • Would you stay there again?
  • Which area would you recommend, San Juan, Larena, Siquijor Town, or somewhere else?
  • Any places I should avoid or wish you had known before booking?

I'm planning to rent a scooter and spend my days visiting waterfalls and beaches, stopping at cafés, catching a sunset every evening, and maybe doing some skydiving(looking for someone also who has the same schedule hehehe baka maka less tayo if duo). I'd love a place that's a good home base for exploring the island.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing your recommendations. 😊
