Instant mash will be forever staple now

I've had to go to the pantry a few times in the last few months and have wound up with an abundance of instant mashed potatoes. At first I was just making them as an easy side but realized I was never going to get through them that way. I googled some uses and it wound up being a fantastic light breading for chicken/fish (when I have it😭🤣) and last night I sauteed up some chicken thigh with a tiny bit of onion and lots of canned corn, simmered it in stock for a bit, and then stirred in the milk, a tiny bit of margarine and the instant mash for a quick delicious corn chowder. Just encouraging people to experiment with it and feel free to share your favorite uses!

Made it at home instead of going out

I had an early errand and I have always used that as an excuse for a fast food breakfast (normally have something minimal like corn flakes if I'm not going out) but I'm kind of broke right now and need to watch what I eat more right now anyway. I walked myself into the bakery section of Kroger, found some croissants on clearance, went home added ham and cheese and put it in the oven for a couple minutes. Spent easily a third of the money, it was bigger and tested better than what I would have got (probably a croissantwhich from BK) I know this is ridiculously small but I've really really struggled with impulse control, spending and food cravings. These little compromises feel great.

First Empty!! Spa luxury, papaya and coconut curl quench

This was honestly very unexpected. I can't tell you how many products I've half finished/giving away/returned.. almost mad that this works for me, lol. I'm prone to scalp build up and use a pretty abrasive medicated shampoo. I also have very very low porosity (I think 2b?) hair, I'm in a high humidity climate AND I'm working with hard water. Medium thickness, fantastic slip, I'm not a co-wash girly but I got away with it with this stuff, decent as a base leave in but I needed additional support for frizz. To me it was the best smelling between the four choices. I don't know how different the other formulations are it seems the biggest differences are at the very tail end of the ingredients list with the herbal/fruity ingredients. I'll probably get around to trying and the others but I plan on stocking up on this one. It reminds me of a thicker version of the Garnier fruit pots that I was so in love with. Avoid if you're sensitive to fragrance. It's really high up on the list.

Accidentally ate something spicy

I stopped almost immediately and took a Pepcid and gaviscon but I'm scared, last time I couldn't really leave bed for a week, is there anything I can do to stop a flare up??

I went back already.. 😅

The second pic is the first haul from the other day and I kind of regretted being so restrictive. I knew in my head things weren't even $2 but I'm so used to telling myself no lol. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality so far. There's nothing I would compare to a luxury brand really but they definitely hold up to some pharmacy/grocery store purchases I've made.

First mini haul!

Took a financial hit. Out of work for a bit. I still want to feel cute but can't justify spending $10 to $20 per product. I like what I've tried so far (the lip gloss, body butter and rosemary spray) Please feel free to share your favorite money saving beauty swaps!
