I recovered this badly correded/encased coin from a 1800s privy in Maryland. Decided to see if I could remove the growth with electrolysis and it worked! But now I need help ID'ing it.

Image 1 is the coin as I found it. It was encased in a rusty mess, and Image 2 is after it came out of the tank.

I can see an eagle with its wings spread, some letters, and ridges around the rim. Image 3 is the reverse, which has very few details left.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Progress on the Veletta Superyacht by MRJ Builds & LESDIY

It’s been slow build process with this kit due to waiting for the next sections to arrive but I’m really enjoying it. And I thought this kit was massive when I just had the bow down but now I really get a sense of its size!

Beautiful blue 1860s med vial we recovered from a privy last night in Baltimore

I’ve dug a ton of vials over the years, but this was the first colored one I’ve seen come out of the ground. The privy belonged to a house that was built in the 1840 and was filled in sometime before the late 1870s.
