What's the best choice to make in the engineering field when it comes to the job market right now?

I've decided to go back to an engineering school for applied engineering or engineering technology. I'm interested in biomedical, mechanical, and electrical engineering tech but I'm not sure which is better in the job market were in right now. I saw posts from a different subreddit that people are having a hard time finding jobs when it comes to electrical field. Is this true? I like both electrical and mechanical but because I'll graduate faster I'm thinking about doing MET instead. I like BET but I want to be able to get jobs in automotive, aerospace, and biomedical which is why I thought of MET instead since it's more broad. However the curriculum doesn't show many EET classes. Finding a job is my biggest concern though because I've been at a different university studying cybersecurity and the job market is terrible for people in tech right now. So I decided to go back since I think I made the wrong decision. Also, my biggest weakness is math and chemistry. Do you think I'll be okay studying calculus even though it's not my strong suit. I usually steer away from classes I have a hard time in but calculus and physics are unavoidable.

Am I making the right choice?

I'm thinking about going back to a different university that I've been deferring because I wasn't sure what I was doing. My major at a not so well known liberal university is cybersecurity and because of the job market I'm thinking about changing my career path. I've been thinking about going back but because the courses are very rigorous I've been afraid I'm not going to finish. I will graduate Spring 2028 if I stick with cybersecurity but if I go with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering technology then I have a better career path and maybe the job market might be better. I also am working right now as an insurance coordinator and I don't know if it's because the job is boring but I don't know if I can see myself sitting at a desk for many years. I've always told myself that I'm a hands on type of person. I'm just really bad at sticking to things when it gets hard too. The classes at the liberal college have all been online and on zoom. But the classes at the engineering school are mostly going to be in person as well. I like it being online because I don't have to get ready to go to class but I think I made the wrong choice by wasting a year trying to complete a major that's going to get me nowhere because of the job market. I'm also 32 right now and feel like shit because I've been clueless as to what I want to do for years and make a choice but keep changing my mind. I think self esteem plays a big part in it especially with being bullied in HS and being told I was dumb all the time.

According to this video I have high IQ even though I was in sped classes. Is what Dr. K saying true and does it mean I really am not that stupid?

I don't think I'm gifted because I was in sped classes in HS. But my rumination is so bad and self esteem is terrible that I've been in and out of college for almost 15 yrs. I can't stick or choose a career and keep ruminating about my future not aligning with me or possibly failing or not being able to find a job when I graduate. It's a vicious cycle. I have ADHD idk if that plays a part in it too.

Has anyone experienced severe symptoms after drinking prep?

I just woke up half an hour ago after going to the bathroom I had left arm heaviness and numbness. I also had a very high heart rate all of a sudden and then I got anxious because it wasn't going away. I had to pour cold water on my face for it all to stop. I feel very odd right now. I'm not sure if it's a side effect of an electrolyte balance or something else. I had one glass of the prep left too. Online I've been reading all kinds of heart issues happening from the prep but I used Gatorade and water for the prep.

Update: I didn't go through with it. I freaked out and asked if I could possibly reschedule.

What's the best flavor drink for the prep?

Hey guys, I've been reading this subreddit for a while now hearing about other people's colonoscopies. I've had an endoscopy before but not a colonoscopy so I'm terrified. I'm doing the miralax prep. What drink is the best flavor to do the prep? I have my procedure tomorrow. I was thinking about getting the blue or orange Gatorade. Or should I drink fruit juice. Right now I'm at work and all I have with me is water which really sucks. I had popsicle sticks but they would have melted by the time I got to work. I asked a family member of mine to make jello for me because I'm going to be hungry. I'm already nauseous and haven't even started the prep yet lol. I'm in the US by the way.

How do I land an internship if I don't have any experience?

I'm currently a senior trying to get my bachelor's degree and I jumped ship from an IT degree to cyber because I heard all the talk about AI taking over. Many people couldn't find jobs after graduating with the IT degree and I was terrified. So I impulsively changed universities and my degree. Now I'm almost done but I barely have any experience besides some coursework using Git. I've been seeing posts on this sub from a few years ago where people had been out of college for 2 years without a job. I don't want that to be me. I seriously want a job that at least pays $20 an hour where I can trouble shoot things and fix stuff hands-on. I have seen some network technician jobs that require some experience and certs. I've been hearing from some people that certs are absolutely necessary while others say that it doesn't mean much if you don't have experience working on things. How do I get an internship job if a lot of them require so much experience? I mean this is how it has been with entry level jobs and the word "entry" doesn't mean what it's supposed to mean. I have experience working in customer service and dental health insurance billing that's about it. There are many times where I thought I should jump ship again and just get a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technician but everyone was telling me to stick to it so I can finish. But I do love putting things together and fixing things with my hands. I also like solving puzzles. I don't like coding at all and am not good at it. Anyway, I'm sorry I'm rambling. Do I wait until I graduate next fall 2027 or look for an internship now even though summer is almost over? Please give me some good advice? Thanks.

I just spent 11-12 hours non-stop on the computer because of my ADHD procrastinaion

My brain and body are fried to the crisp. I have so much pain in my lower back and neck/shoulder area and it's because I left 20+ assignments until the last week of classes and even then I still kept procrastinating 2 weeks before classes ended. May 18th was technically the last day but one of my professors is being merciful by giving me until Wednesday or Thursday to finish the assignments I have left for his classes. This semester my fucking ADHD is on another level especially with the insane levels of procrastination as well as task paralysis I have had. I would think about my assignments at home and at work. It would constantly be in the back of my head but I just couldn't get myself to do it. And then there would be other times where I would constantly stare at all the work I needed to do and I'd get overwhelmed by the amount I had to get done. I've never been this bad. Last semester was bad too but this is on another fucking level. I submitted several assignments today half done.

Location: NJ, USA

32F

My neighbor has had two instances where he came into my home. The first one was when our front door was not working properly and when my dad left for work in the morning it did not close and was somehow wide open. I was sleeping in my bedroom. My neighbor walked into the house pacing around the living room saying hello several times. That's when I woke up freaking out and then he opened my sister's bedroom which was vacant. She was not home. He then came into the hallway and tried to turn the doorknob several times. My door was locked. I was practically naked in bed and having a panic attack because I thought my neighbor was going to attack me in some way. I was too afraid to call 911 and instead called my mom who was at work at the time but she works close-by and came home to see if I was okay. I was shaking in fear. If I had called the cops would the neighbor be at fault for entering the home even though the door was not locked and wide open?

Second instance, the same neighbor knocked on my door. I thought my sister was home and didn't think anything would really happen if I opened the house door for him since I also thought my mom was out front somewhere close by. My mom likes to feed my neighbor sometimes because he just lost his wife recently. So he comes to our house and leaves coffee or sweets at our house as a thank you gesture. Anyway, once I opened the door for him he gave me the coffee or whatever. I can't remember everything he asked me but he started step foot inside the house. He came inside and said let me take a look at you and grabbed my arms and his face was mere centimeters away from mine. He asked me if I have a boyfriend. I said no and he kept asking me why. I just told him I'm religious and things like that. I wanted to try and get him off of me but I was too terrified of what reactions he might have so I just gave into his whims. Is this considered assault or battery? I was so disgusted afterwards I tried washing off what happened with soap even though it wasn't a big deal. It's not like it was SA or anything like that.

BTW I did not call the cops out of fear he might retaliate towards me in some way. We live next to each other.
