Sometimes you gotta have wings.
Stuck in a hotel for 3 weeks in Austin on business with zero walkable food options. A guy in my group has the company van and I bought some wings at Walmart, but had no sauce. I got some Texas Pete and butter pats from the breakfast bar and made stovetop wings on a model with no oven and barely more power than a refrigerator lightbulb. You do what you can with what you got.
Xerox network printers down?
I'm in the Midwest and all the offices can't print.
Paid $3.99 US at a local Polish grocer. North Atlantic salmon with potatoes, carrots, peas, tomato paste and rapeseed oil. The salmon itself is fairly non descript and the veggies are soft, but not really mushy. By itself, the salmon and neutral oil would be pretty dull, but like a few other companies mixing in the Nicea style really makes a tasty lunch. Served with saltines, Salsa Espinaler, and hot Polish mustard.
Salmon Belly, not the usual pink, firm fish. This was softer, though not mushy and closer to cod than salmon. Only ingredients are Atlantic salmon, water and salt. I would have preferred olive oil. Light grill marks on the fish, very mild - almost boring, but very rich. Not at all salty tasting for an Asian tin. Not sure of the company name, purchased for under $5 US at Mitsua in the Chicago area. I probably won't buy it again, simply because I prefer more assertive tastes. I ate it with plain Saltine crackers and Espinaler sauce.
