A scouring-era survivor of the defeat on Terra. Although the Legion was broken in body and spirit, perhaps a few of the 'old guard' remained. Not just a gangster that wanted to roll in the mud and scratch and scrape to survive, but one who remembered some of the loftier days of the Luna Wolves and when that Legion was the Crusade's shining example. He had followed his Commander's and Primarch's orders (as surely most soldiers would have done), and although perhaps realising too late that he was on the wrong side of history, nevertheless still fights for the lives and honour of his Legion and brothers.
Now during the retreat from Terra and the Scouring, while Horus lies dead, that is all that remains.
A dark room.. a beam of light comes down to highlight something beautiful. A guitar solo plays as the book slowly opens..
Have finally got my hands on this book, and thought I would share! I may be a bit OTT and excited 😁
Some champions of the Legion displayed on printed plinths (stands are from Stoaken/modular miniature stands found in the usual places).
Horus is dead..the survivors, now veterans all, desperately try to escape Terra. A lone Rhino speeds through a broken landscape. Two battle brothers desperately try to blast a way clear as they go ('Aliens APC escape' plays in the background!)
Hoping someone can help. Our gaming group is looking at HH 1.0 to use our minis in after we have run out of steam with the latest edition.
One negative of 1.0 is the crazy number of books released. I do hope one day to collect them as they are lovely things but does anyone know the minimum books to get going rulewise?
- Do we need the 2017 'red book' Age of Darkness or can get away with 40k 7th edition rulebook?
- Playing marines do we just need the Legions Astartes Age of Darkness Legions & Army list red books?
Is anything else recommended to get going? V grateful if anyone can help!
New K47 player & this is my force so far. Some minis converted /w Westwind bits. Camo scheme based off of 80s W. German/NATO theme. Bases have tried to make more weird-war with alien/mushroom growths. Thanks for looking 😊
